Meet Kashish and Aseem
As two individuals who were brought up in a modern, GenZ environment, with experiences of studying abroad and a desire to explore the mysteries hidden within Schrödinger's cat box, Kashish and Aseem actually came together in an arranged marriage set up.
“Our paths converged during a time of great adversity, as the world grappled with the challenges brought forth by the pandemic. Aseem faced the trials and tribulations of managing his business, while I, devastated by the loss of my younger brother Hardik to COVID-19, navigated the turbulent waves of grief. In the midst of these hardships, both of us individually contemplated the idea of embracing the arranged marriage setup—a notion that seemed foreign and unfamiliar to us, yet held the promise of discovering a partner with whom we could find solace and understanding.
In the early days of our courtship, I found myself puzzled by his quiet nature—a stark contrast to my own outgoing and extroverted personality. Yet, every morning, like clockwork, a message would arrive at 5:30 a.m., bridging the gap between our different worlds. He, a teetotaler, and I, a party animal; he, disciplined, and I, a free spirit. We seemed like two puzzle pieces from entirely different sets, destined to never fit together. However, as time went on, I came to understand the depth and richness of his character. Behind his reserved demeanour was a man any woman would be fortunate to have by her side. Today, we stand as best friends, complementing and balancing each other's strengths and weaknesses, weaving a tapestry of love and understanding in this marriage!”
Mehendi & Welcome Dinner
Bohemian-style decorations with a vibrant palette created a visually striking atmosphere.
Pool Party
The pool party was a tropical paradise, adorned with vibrant decorations that embodied the essence of the theme. From coconuts engraved with personalized names on the drinks, including the bride's drink Kashi-bomb, or the sister-in-law’s Arushilini, to creatively crafted signature drinks like “it’s your Nirnay!” for the brother-in-law, the attention to detail and creativity brought a unique and personalized touch to the celebration.
Sangeet & Engagement
The starry sangeet was a sight to behold, with a breathtaking setup that mesmerized all. The ambience was set with candles and dim lighting, creating a romantic and enchanting atmosphere. As the dances unfolded on the dance floor, the entire space came alive with vibrant energy and joyous celebration.
Haldi
The haldi ceremony was adorned with vibrant green and yellow decorations, featuring an abundance of sunflowers (genda phool). The personalized touch of a flower haldi brought a joyous and playful atmosphere, where the celebration felt like a colourful holi played with flowers.
Wedding
Immersed in the ethereal beauty of the sun-drenched beach, our sundowner wedding unfolded with sheer elegance. The stage for our enchanting varmala ceremony was gracefully poised atop the shimmering pool, adorned with a remarkable display of our initials, K+A. The decor embraced a serene white monotone palette, as an abundance of white flowers and verdant greenery infused the surroundings with an air of subtle tranquillity
Reception
My reception at the Leela Palace Bangalore was an incredibly special event, filled with love and joy. It was my sister-in-law, @arushi_chhabra who took charge of the decorations, and she came up with a unique idea inspired by Arabic culture. The theme centered around the pomegranate, a fruit that holds a significant meaning as it represents the bride's cheeks when cut in half. The venue was transformed into a mesmerizing space, with simple yet elegant arrangements that showcased the beauty of this symbolic fruit. Every detail was thoughtfully chosen, making the evening truly personal and unforgettable for me and my loved ones.
From the bride about designing her lehenga!
“I was never the girl who dreamed of a fairytale wedding, with grandeur or simplicity written in the stars. But as trends like being a Sabyasachi bride or a Tarun Tahiliani bride gained popularity, I felt a desire to embrace my own unique creativity on my special day. Undoubtedly, brides donning the creations of renowned designers like Sabyasachi are breathtakingly beautiful, and I, too, chose a stunning white zari saree from his collection for my reception. However, for my wedding, I yearned for something distinct, something that would leave a lasting impression.
During my research and development phase, I had a stroke of inspiration to blend tradition with modernism. In our brainstorming sessions, my masi breathed life into my creative ideas, and together we conceived the concept of infusing Pichwai art into my lehenga. We opted for a stunning champagne pink colour, evoking a romantic and serene ambience that befits a sundowner beach wedding. To further elevate its elegance, we adorned the lehenga with not just ordinary stones, but the brilliance of Swarovski stones and the auspiciousness of Navaratna stones.
As I walked down the aisle, a three-meter tulle veil trailed behind me, reflecting the ethereal aura that enveloped the moment. In the realm of bespoke bridal fashion, my wedding lehenga stood as a masterpiece, a testament to the creative genius of my beloved masi, Shagun Pathak, and her team of skilled artisans and artists from Kolkata. As I embarked on this new chapter of my life, my wedding lehenga became more than just a garment—it became a symbol of love, artistry, and the merging of tradition and modernity”

Makeup Artist - Pooja Khurana
Pooja Khurana, my amazing makeup artist and bestie during the wedding, was an absolute darling! We spent more time together than the groom (oops!). She nailed the subtle looks I wanted, making me feel gorgeous and confident throughout the festivities. Pooja's attention to detail and expertise were on point, and I couldn't have asked for a better friend and makeup artist by my side. She made my wedding experience even more memorable!
