Nothing makes us more excited than seeing DIY details at Indian weddings, possibly because there are such few of them we spot anyway. With planners, and decor guys and caterers and all the other shebang, sometimes all you need to leave your own personal mark are DIY touches, so when we spotted Kayennat's DIY Cupcake station which her sisters made for her engagement, we were all giving a collective 'awww'.
Kayennat's sisters Negar and Nuzhah, baked these cupcakes at home ! They color co-ordinated the cupcakes to tell the flavour.
The entire styling of the table was DIY and we love the attention to detail. Two yellow buckets with carnations on each side, some pretty tea lights in the centre and dont miss the bird cages at the back !
A chalk board with instructions on which color cupcakes mean what flavour. Kayennat says the coconut cupcakes were a hit with her family!
The girls even made these cherry blossom branches on their own. They had real flowers (yellow carnations) and some paper flowers .
They even gave away bits of home made cake wrapped in paper as favors !
Now THATS a room we want to enter. Cupcake heaven right there.
Love the whole styling and presentation- this is so easily doable. Even if you get the cupcakes from outside, its amazing what a few birdcages, some tealights and a bit of color co-ordination can do.
FYI- we attended this wedding recently, where they had a DIY Golgappa station. It was awesome- there were taps with sweet water and spicey water and you could fill your golgappa under each tap.
