We love coming across weddings that are purely about celebrating the couple and their love- when it's not about what they wore or how grand the wedding was, but just a celebration with their near and dear ones while everyone evidently has a blast! Smriti and Stephane's Delhi wedding is one that checks all the boxes- their photos just radiate so much warmth and happiness! The bride got some fabulous outfits from lesser-known labels, and looked radiant in each of them. Special shoutout to Photo Paparazzo for capturing this happy wedding to perfection!

The couple met at work in Canada, the bride tells us.

From The Bride:
Our wedding took place on February 24, 2023. We wanted an intimate wedding with all our close family and friends. It was the very first time Stephane, his family & friends and some of my friends were travelling to India and I wanted them to experience how colorful, vibrant & joyful Indian weddings are, and of course not to forget- the delicious buffet! We decided we wanted colorful decor during haldi & mehendi and went for something subtle for our sundowner wedding.
From recording & learning dance choreography in Toronto with the help of my best friend, Arushi. Friends & family learning the choreography in UK, France & India; coordinating with the decorator, sisters (Neeti & Kriti) helping out with Steph's family's outfits and, friends (Ravin & Patney) planning wedding/travel logistics; to our dance sessions at nights, creating DIY hangover kits for guests. All this & much more made me realize that wedding planning is not my cup of tea, but it was an experience I'd never forget and cherish forever as everyone came together to celebrate us!
Vendor Reviews
Photographer: Photo Paparazzo
They caught my attention on Instagram and at that moment I knew I wanted them to cover our wedding. Pranav from their sales & marketing team was very responsive and managed to get us a great deal! Powell's team of photographers & videographers are talented, patient and respectful.
Venue: The Executive Club, Chattarpur
As I had always imagined myself in an outdoor wedding setup (under the sun & stars), E-Club had the perfect space to make that happens and also offered accommodation, breakfast & lunch for our guests.
Makeup Artist: Meher Bhatia
I wanted a subtle/light makeup look and that's what I got. Days before the wedding I was sharing references of the kind of looks I was going for and she helped with suggestions. It was also nice of her to accommodate last minute make-up request for my sister as her makeup artist ghosted us on the wedding day!
Decor: The Wedding Dreams by Varun Rathor
Although a bit difficult to get in touch with (long distance problems, maybe?), he & his team did a really nice job in decorating the venue the way I had imagined. The same venue on both days looked just very different. The bar on the day wedding was just gorgeous (I guess you know where I was lol).
Bridal Outfits:
My red indo-western saree (Steph's fave outfit of mine) was from Ushnak mal, South Ex. They were quick & had altered everything perfectly!
My wedding outfit from Raghav Creation was simple, shiny & comfortable- just what I was going for! I didn't want to go for an overly pricey designer lehenga when 1.I'd only wear it for a few hours, 2. I wouldn't have carried it with myself to Canada, what for?! and 3. I arrived in Delhi only 3 weeks before the wedding. They couldn't make the blouse the way I wanted it, but in the end it all turned out to be good!
Groomwear: Raj Tailors, Karol Bagh
The outfits were well tailored, especially the red-black jacket-kurta look. They were a bit late on giving us the outfits, but I think its also because it was requested on a short notice (Steph came to Delhi only 2 weeks before the wedding)
