Bye Bye Stage, Hello Open Reception Setups!

BY Sakshi | 21 Jan, 2020 | 3405 views | 2 min read

If you're one of those people who love the limelight and attention of being on a decked up stage at your wedding, go ahead by all means. But if you're looking to have a no-fuss millennial wedding, then going stageless at your wedding is something you'll definitely enjoy- plus, it can also save you some big bucks!

This is a great idea for your wedding or reception, when you really want to be one with the crowd instead of standing like some mannequins on display. An open setup can help you mingle with the crowd, and really be an integral part of your wedding- getting more involved with your guests and the fun in general.

But who said you can't have fun with stageless wedding decor? From adding your hashtag to getting a quirky or pretty backdrop- no matter how lavish or simple- this can look pretty amazing too.

So what do you think? Is this a better alternative, especially for something like the reception? We think it works, and it's something very welcome for 2020 weddings!

Here are some tips to work the idea:

  • Make the decor standout to compensate for the stage. Some nice indoor ideas here.
  • Look for an alternative to the stage. Some cool ideas here.
  • Have a backdrop for people to take photos against. it can double up as a flat stage cum photobooth.
  • If you'd still like to be the centre of attention, get a printed dance floor right in the centre for all eyes to be on you!
