It's finally 2021 guys! The year all of us and especially brides-to-be had been waiting for! While weddings did kickstart a while back, they're not in full swing yet. However, bridal trend forecast is definitely needed, right? Yes we know, bridal trends come and go, but there are some bridal trends which we are sure have been around for a while, and will continue to dominate in 2021 too. Here are some of the ones we recommend for you if you are going to be a bride this year. Trends even big designers are swearing by!

When it coms to bridal colours, confectionary palettes of ice blue, pink petal  and lilac are expected to be in and trending in 2021, which are an absolute delight to look at!

Full sleeved blouses

We have been spotting more and more brides in full sleeved blouses, and what was once a winter trend has now become a year round trend with brides picking full sleeved blouses for their big day, and they do look very classy!

Colourblocked lehengas

Monotones are going out and colour blocks are coming back- with bug designers like Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi and Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor using multicolour threadwork and colour blocking in their lehengas.

Nudes for cocktail

Nude hues for the cocktail are another gorgeous trend we have been spotting more and more of. They look super classy when done right, and exude so much elegance.

Scallops in dupattas

This trend has been around for a while, and scallops in bridal wear are still in- be it in the dupatta, the blouse neckline or even the lehenga bottom.

Bold shoulders with drama and innovative sleeves

This trend seems to be here to stay, while it may not be a timeless or classic one, it sure is in right now.

Shimmer and mirror work

Shimmer and glitter is in, and so is mirror work- be it for the mehendi, the engagement, the sangeet or the reception- they are all very trendy right now!

More and more brides are opting for this look for their lockdown intimate weddings, and we totally approve!

Lace and pearls

Lace or pearl work lehengas or even a combination of the two looks super amazing, and we love how innovative and creative designers are getting with them!

High impact headwear

Bridal headgear like bridal hairbands, sispattis and the likes are all trending for brides right now, and they do lend a very unique look to millennial brides!

Silver embroideries instead of gold

This one might not become as popular with gold work on lehengas being a classic choice, but we do hope to see more brides try this out!

Pakistani silhouettes

Silhouettes popular with Pakistani brides like kurtis with ghararas or long anarkali styles or straight Kurtis with pants are also expected to gain more popularity with Indian brides.

Chevrons and geometric stripes

We have been seeing more and more of these and loving them! They are such attention grabbers, and add so much vibrance to the bridal look.

Minimalism going out maximalism and opulence coming back in

And finally, 2020 saw brides scale down their wedding looks to suit intimate weddings, but in 2021, while weddings will be scaled down, brides are not excpected to dial down their looks! Minimalism will make way for opulent bridal looks, and we sure can't wait to see a mix of the two!
