There was something so beautiful and wholesome about this wedding, that we just had to feature it! What has quickly become one of our fave Sangeet and Mehendi bridal looks, this wedding was effortlessly elegant at its best. Everything was simple, modern and very Instagram-worthy! This Seattle wedding had some great ideas, and we are in awe of the decor and the bridal looks- everything made even more beautiful thanks to that gorgeous view in the background! The Wedding Files did a phenomenal job in photographing this one, so keep scrolling to be wowed too!
Meet Sri Chintala & Mathieu
We met in Seattle, Washington. The Emerald City. The city where you can climb a mountain, kayak a river and eat an upscale dinner all within minutes of each other. The city where it all started. The city that brought our hearts together. Skiing is how we got to know one another. We met at work, but soon enough discovered that we had much more in common. We went to the mountains together to ski down the powdery snow of the Pacific Northwest, hiked the Northern Cascades, and looked at endless sunsets. Slowly, we spent more time together, and we fell in love. The mountains were calling us - but together. We kept exploring - always further. We moved into the same building, got stuck there during the pandemic. Escaped as much as we could. We promised each other to laugh. To dance and see the world. That we would be each other’s anchor. We fell in love.
And the rest is history! Our life is a mix of culture, between India, Switzerland, and the state of Washington that we wanted to share with our nearest & dearest! Hence we picked Seattle for our wedding festivities.
Mehendi
The Theme of the Mehndi was by the ocean, picnic in the park, and the style was Bohemian Chic. The event was a laid back summer picnic in Magnolia park, with low tables, chic place settings, charcuterie platter, desserts, champagne wall, smores, fun games, views of incredible sunsets over the ocean and amazing conversations. We even had some fun ideas like a Smore’s board, dessert cart, tug-of-war, sand bag toss, limbo and life sized Jenga set for guests to sign the blocks.
Sangeet
The style of the Sangeet was elegant & classy. The design color palette was Black, White and Gold, Moody with Lighting and Candles. There was also a lot of Greenery! The fun ideas we implemented were Entry fee shot wall, mono ski shots (4 people take shots together on a ski), photo booth with instant prints, photo guest book (guests leave one picture behind and leave a message for the bride & groom).
Haldi
The style of the haldi was Sunny & Fun, and the design color palette was BRIGHT! Pinks, marigolds, yellow and oranges.
Wedding
The style of the wedding was a Romantic Garden Soiree. The design color palette was soft vibes with various shades ranging from light mauve, blush, peach, pastel yellow and whites/ivories with lighter greenery. Think soft, full, textured, variegated pastel colors. SO PRETTY!
From The Bride:
Our wedding took place on August 10th, 2022.
We had an intimate gathering of 150 of our closest friends & family who traveled from all parts of the world to celebrate our love. We had representation from 15+ countries. The wedding was truly a melting pot of cultures. Across a span of 4 days we had the best time with those closest to us. Given how close everyone were, there were no inhibitions or unneeded formalities. Everyone just let go and had a blast. It was just pure joy & love.
While we were excited to celebrate with our loved ones, the core of our relationship and what brings us together is our shared love of the outdoors and adventure. Prior to the official festivities we wanted to share a private moment and relish the next step of our relationship in a way that was unique and personal to us. So we went on a beautiful hike and exchanged our vows amid the beautiful mountains of WA state. Kudos to @the_wedding_files for capturing those moments so beautifully.
For the most part we wanted the backdrop and the natural beauty of the pacific northwest to be the highlight of our events. Our decor was intended to complement the natural backdrop.
Vendor Reviews
Photography: The Wedding Files
They are hands down our most favorite vendor from our wedding. Amrit & team are incredibly talented and their work speaks for itself. Most importantly they have been super responsive, easy and amazing to work with. The elopement wedding Amrit made just blew our minds and something we'll treasure forever. Cannot recommend this team enough! Super happy with everything the produced for us.
Venue - The Admiral's House (Seattle, WA)
Overlooks the beautiful pacific ocean and boasts of unobstructed views of the Seattle city skyline, including the iconic Space Needle and the majestic Mt. Rainier. This combined with the perfect balmy Seattle weather of August made it for a truly magical outdoor wedding.
Our life is a mix of culture, between India, Switzerland, and the state of Washington that we wanted to share with our nearest & dearest! Hence we picked Seattle for our wedding festivities. The most important decision for us was the venue. Even after 7 years of living in WA state, we are still blown away by its beauty everyday and count ourselves incredibly lucky to call this state home. We wanted to pick a venue that showcases this beauty. We landed on the Admirals House which overlooks the beautiful pacific ocean and boasts of unobstructed views of the Seattle city skyline, including the iconic Space Needle and the majestic Mt. Rainier. This combined with the perfect balmy Seattle weather of August made it for a truly magical outdoor wedding.
Makeup Artist: Supreet Prehar
I usually do not wear a lot of makeup and wanted a soft natural glam look. Supreet was amazing to work with and ensure we achieved the looks I had in mind. Cannot recommend her enough!
