Breathtaking Wedding With A Bride Who Wore A Sharara With Her Mother's Bridal Dupatta

When we first saw Keerat's bridal entry pictures on Instagram, we were instantly captivated by her whole look! Now while we've seen bridal lehengas aplenty, a bride wearing a sharara for her wedding day was definitely something out of the blue. Add to that the fact that Keerat' finished her bridal look with her mom's wedding dupatta and we had a winner! How often do you see a bride reuse her mother's bridal outfit? Keerat not only used an element of it but made it the star of her whole bridal look. Keerat also wore a beautifully offbeat lehenga for her Sangeet and looked stunning in it as well.
Enhancing the whole vibe of this gorgeous Anand Karaj was excellent photography by Through the Barrel , the team that managed to capture candid, demure, joyful and all different shots during the celebrations.
Meet Keerat & Dilpreet
It was serendipity. We were casually introduced by a mutual professional connect.
The Mehendi
The Sangeet
The Anand Karaj
From The Bride:
Our wedding was a blend of all things traditional with nostalgia attached to it. Due to the COVID situation in India, there were lots of close relatives and friends who couldn't attend the wedding. However, it was close knit and intimate to the extent that we got to enjoy our big day with all the relevant people in our lives. The wedding took place at my (Keerat's) home, as was my dream, and I adorned my mother's wedding dupatta which made it all the more special.
Vendor Reviews:
Makeup Artists: Sangeet - Emelda, Mehendi - Reena Gupta, Wedding & Reception - Jasmeet Kapany
Sangeet was the first big function and I was nervous, but Emelda did such a great job (especially with my eyes) and made me feel like a princess! I wanted a natural and minimal look for my mehendi and Reena did just that. Jasmeet was my choice from the very beginning. I was indeed in hands that work like a magicians! She did my wedding and reception makeup and she never fails to amaze me.
Wedding Planning & Decor : Mandakini Lama
Mandakini understood my vision for my wedding. We both mutually agreed to keep things as sustainable as possible as weddings can produce so much waste! From a Bohemian themed Sangeet, to traditional mehendi decor and finally a serene white & wildflower filled Anand Karaj- she pulled them off beautifully!
Photographer: Through The Barrel
Pranav and his team were the most non-intrusive photographers I know. I never felt tired or compelled to pose and they managed to truly capture everything 'candidly'.
Bridal Outifits: Sangeet - Ameeran Design, Mehendi - A&R By Rhea Kapoor, Wedding - Rimple & Harpreet Narula
I came across Ameeran Design on Instagram. He had such amazing ideas but when I saw that he had a one-of-a-kind lehenga inspired by a Persian carpet, it spoke to me. Ashish does some breathtaking work. Rhea is the best person to go to for customisation. She gives her own ideas and yet sticks to what will suit you best. She's my go to designer so I knew I was going to wear something made by her. My Wedding Outfit was by Rimple & Harpreet Narula but the dupatta was my mother's wedding dupatta. Rimple & Harpreet Narula have some exquisite designs and I couldn't have found a better outfit to match my mother's traditional one. I always knew I wanted to wear a sharara and not a lehenga since I wanted to be different (more traditional)
