An intimate wedding with just the closest ones is something that is sure to create memories of a lifetime, and not just for the bride and the groom! This wedding was one such celebration. Riya & Ankit got hitched amongst rolling green hills of Hilton Shillim, and it was a gorgeous affair. With unique themes, such as a dreamy sundowner sangeet, a vibrant day mehendi and a wedding covered in hues of red, Aash Studio ensured that they brought the couple's vision of a perfect wedding to life as perfectly as possible! Adding to the glam quotient were Riya's offbeat outfits - from the metallic asian blue one she wore for her sangeet, to the dhoti pants in sage green that she opted for her mehendi, and the red and pink banarasi lehenga she wore for her wedding, she rocked each look and radiated as a bride. WhatKnot Photography captured this wedding wonderfully and we urge you to scroll down and be inspired endlessly!

Proposal Story:
We had planned a Scuba Diving trip where Ankit had decided to propose, however, due to my annoying curiosity and Ankit’s not-so-subtle hints, I figured out that he was planning the proposal there and took my sister-in-law and best friends into confidence -- who told him that I guessed it.
So he pre-planned a new one 2 months before the original dive holiday which actually caught me off guard as I was completely unaware for the first time in my life! He flew me down to Goa randomly on a working weekday, made me skip work without any prior notice and then proposed to me in the Grand Hyatt at this romantic candlelight setup by the beach.
Wedding Planning Tips & Advice
- Stress as much as you want before the wedding, but enjoy your wedding days with zero stress.
- Work hard on the planning beforehand - spread it out, plan early, but on the day just let loose and relax. No one will notice if one decor element is missing, or if one food item was not as expected -- these are all just small things in the bigger setting of the best day of your lives -- so do not forget to enjoy every minute of it.
Vendor Reviews:
Venue: We fell in love with Hilton Shillim the first time we visited - the location, the villas, the ambience and the idea of what the weather will be like amidst the hills in December. Apart from the location, the food was amazing. Chef Shubhendu did a fantastic job with making the 3-day
celebration feast absolutely perfect. It was all healthy with no white flour, no saturated fats, and no refined sugar, and yet tasted delicious!
Decorator: We picked Aash Studio (Aashna Singh) for our decor. She was brilliant and implemented everything exactly as we wanted. Elegant, classy and out-of-the box ideas! Her design aesthetic is impeccable and she has the best ideas if you’re looking for something that’s not too common. She really understood what I wanted, and went out of her to make it happen to my highest level of satisfaction. Extremely pleased with her efforts!
Photographer: The WhatKnot team was amazing! The photos we got were of excellent quality and style. The team members were easy to work with and took photos/videos without us even knowing that they were there, which is something that we really liked. They were always on time, and did a fabulous job on the Instagram teaser - they really got the brief and implemented it to perfection.
