What's with our favourite bloggers getting hitched all of a sudden? Hey, we are not complaining- the more weddings, the merrier ;). We caught up with the ever stylish Shreya Kalra of For The Love Of Fashion And Other Things, and asked her to spill the beans. With Shreya, who is engaged to Nikhil, her college sweetheart, we saw how she created her own style in a beautiful pink and red Anamika sari coupled with minimal jewellery and a maroon lip. And let's not forget the gajra in her hair - so vintage, so chic! And so we asked Shreya to share her story and here it is :)
Meet Shreya & Nikhil
"When I left Bangalore in 2012, I knew I had left a piece of me behind. The foundation of every great relationship is friendship and it couldn't be truer for us. We kicked off this relationship as friends which later went on to progress into love. It was so amazing to the extent that we had Mr. Non-believer of long distance relationships here, working it across seven seas with me. :)" explains Shreya.
The Roka Love
"Nikhil and I were on the same page from the word 'go' as far as our Roka and ring exchange goes. We wanted something small and private but I also added stylish and timelessly elegant to that list. We had our closest family and friends gather around at the Courtyard at The Lodhi Hotel for our ceremony. A crazy champagne brunch, tons of toasts and speeches and a splendid cake later, we were engaged. The best part? We actually had an insane amount of fun with each other and our families and friends. As far as the decor was concerned, I was very particular about the centrepieces since I wanted the sit down long table style set-up. Those included white and peach roses, hydrangeas and angel's breath. Everything else was quite classic and minimal" explains Shreya happily.
