This one's a big surprise - a South Indian wedding with a North Indian flavor. A mix of both worlds done beautifully. Mansi and Nitish's wedding is a riot of colours - right from the Sangeet to the sweet Kanjeevaram sari wedding. The origami decor, the inventive lighting and the fun themes make it a one-of-a-kind wedding. As Taj West End lent its beautiful space for the larger-than-life mandap, photography by Neeta Shankar Photography captured all the light-hearted moments neatly.
Meet Mansi & Nitish
"We met when we were both doing our MBAs at Wharton. A beautiful boat sailing at sunset with hundreds of students fervently dancing to Bollywood music. Despite being in the same school, we had never met and had never run into each other ... right up until a week before graduation. We met, talked and danced on the boat all night, and had an amazing time. But when the boat docked, I left in a hurry without giving him a phone number, leaving behind only a single shoe! THIS REALLY HAPPENED. Distressed, he didn't know how to find me the next day, nor did he have the time to make all the girls in Philadelphia try on a shoe and Thank God for Facebook though - he found me, sent me a message, we went to dinner, fell in love, and two years later, he proposed to me on a boat!" says Mansi.
