Beachside Wedding With The Bride In A Pastel Lehenga & Bandhani Dupatta

Pastel bridal lehengas have been around for a while, and while they look perfect for day or night wedding, Foram did something that made her pastel lehenga pop! She matched it with a second dupatta in bandhani, and in bright shade of red. It looked a perfect combination of traditional and trendy! In addition to that, Foram & Anand had some amazing functions - like the Holi Party to kick off their wedding celebrations and a fun, yet relaxing Carnival on the morning of their wedding so that everyone was refreshed by the evening. The Picture Patch Photography captured all the madness, the adorable moments and the stealing glances between the bride and groom perfectly.
Meet Foram & Anand
I believe that I am a destiny child and this was in fact proven in Anand and my magical love story. We met 11 years back in a cultural festival at IIT- Bombay and our story most certainly did not start as love at first sight. The chronology of our story began with dating, hating, acquaintances, friends, really good friends and finally falling in love forever. We had almost lost touch for good 3-4 years, where Anand was enjoying his life in Amsterdam and I was busy being a lawyer in Delhi. But, destiny had planned it otherwise - we met again for a Coldplay concert in Berlin, marking the beginning of our love story.
The Holi Party
The Sangeet
The Wedding
From The Bride:
One thing which truly connects the odd combination of a lawyer and a high frequency trader is fiery & feisty. We wanted to replicate this feeling in our wedding with the right mix of intimacy and fun. The wedding functions began with a Holi Party where Anand was his true self – a real ROCKSTAR. We are techno music lovers and our wedding was a true prototype of that. The atmosphere of the sangeet after party was like an underground techno party and the credit for this goes to DJ Vicky and his mate Nikhil. The next day’s functions began with a Carnival where our guests could engage into a
very relaxed atmosphere with different games stalls and masseuses. I did not want any trending bridal entry songs, thus, DJ Vicky and Mrs. Indira Shankar created magic with Sanskrit shlokas and a personalised Gujarati song for my bridal entry. The ambience of the nuptial ceremony was just surreal with a minimalist mandap made of twigs and greens, us taking the pheras with the backdrop of colourful sky and the sun beaming at the horizon for a sunset and Mrs. Indira Shankar explaining each vidhi of the wedding with her team of classical musicians.
Anand and I are extremely lucky to have gotten married in the most meaningful and intimate way, where we enjoyed every moment of our wedding. Words cannot do justice to what we experienced with our loved ones over those two days.
One last thing, unlike general Indian weddings, where families decide everything, Anand and I were very sure that we wanted to arrange and choose everything ourselves - from location to menu and from photographers to safas. This would have been almost impossible for us to do this, since both of us are based in Amsterdam. But, then WedMeGood came to our rescue. We chose almost all the vendors, including
photographers, décor, MUA, jewelry and wedding lehenga inspiration from the WedmeGood platform. WedMeGood truly played the role of a Wedding Planner in our wedding.
Vendor Reviews:
Photographers & Video: Picture Patch Photography
Adithya and her team were extremely cooperative and did a fabulous job. They very calmly worked their way through all the wedding chaos and captured the most amazing shots. Both Anand and I did not want and photoshoot, so all we wanted were candid shots. Pitcure Patch team did true justice to this.
Décor: KV décor
We wanted a very minimalist décor for all the wedding events, especially the nuptial ceremony. Karen did a great job with the décor. But, it is a little difficult to work with the team, which was not very cooperative.
Venue: Bogmallo Beach resort
A vintage property with a beautiful view located right on Bogmallo beach. The hospitality team is extremely cooperative and helped us at very stage of the wedding preparation. It was a Gujarati and Marwari wedding, thus food was utmost important. The catering team rendered us complete support and dished out the most authentic vegetarian Marwari and Gujarati cuisines.
