Beach Wedding in Goa With a Mehendi Fiesta And an Adorbs Pool Party!

If there is one thing we noticed in this wedding- it's that both the bride and groom seem to be quite the drama-queen (kings?), never failing to strike a larger than life pose whenever the camera is on them ;) The second thing we noticed-  if you have been feeling a bit dull lately, this wedding is an instant pick me up- with its cutesy decor, a pool party that screams fun, relaxed outfits and gorgeous pheras on the beach - it makes us wish we were right there celebrating alongside Roshni & Gautam. If there was one thing I ever envisioned my wedding to be, it was that it would be a beach wedding. Being from Hyderabad and Gautam being from Nasik, it wasn't the most likely scenario but it all came true once we decided on a destination wedding in Goa.

As a bride, I was a bit of an anti-thesis. I'm not someone who loves shopping and I cannot wear uncomfortable, heavy bridal outfits at all. So all my outfits just had colors that I loved, in light breathable fabrics and most importantly were high on the comfort factor. For the beach wedding, I wore soft pastels to complement the sunset, for the mehendi I had a cute crop top and skirt, for the reception a glam lehenga in an offbeat color with matching grey gloves!!

Our reception was the most unique event that was organised. It was a western style sit down dinner with a live band. Our friends and family gave speeches on different themes. My sister and best friend spoke on friendship, my dad spoke on marriage, and after each speech, the band played songs in keeping with these themes. When we initially heard about the concept, everyone had their apprehensions but it turned out to be the best event in the entire wedding.  It was all planned by my sister-in-law and her husband who arranged all of this while not even being in India !
