Athiya Shetty swept us off our feet with her gorgeous bridal look, but it wasn't just that one look, she ate at every other pre and post wedding function too! Yep, here is one celeb bride who's given inspiration for so many bridal looks, and the great thing is, each one is pretty simple with one standout element that she let shine! Be it the outfit, the jewellery- she's given 2023 brides enough inspiration for so many different looks!
P.S. The decor for every function was beautiful and so well-thought out too!
Mehendi
For the mehendi, Athiya wore a gorgeous custom chikankari lehenga in the most muted hue by Anjul Bhandari. The Chikankari lehenga was hand embroidered by the women artisans in the villages around Lucknow. But the highlight of her look, the gorgeous antique earrings belong to Athiya’s Nani! The maangtikka and bangles were matched to the piece of heirloom jewellery.
Muhuratam
For the Muhuratam, Athiya went completely traditional, and this is a great look for South Indian brides! She wore a plain gold handwoven tissue kanchivaram with a fuchcia pink blocked pallu from Madhuraya Creations, a heritage revival boutique. Her traditional South Indian choker and the ghuttapusal necklace completed the look beautifully.
The Haldi
The haldi photos looked like so much fun! Athiya kept things simple and elegant in a vintage Ritu Kumar outfit. She chose to wear this gorgeous ivory cotton and intricate handmade gold gota work anarkali and gharara skirt which had that old chai dipped cotton fabric and the antique gold work that took 2000 hours to embroider!
Welcome Dinner
For the welcome dinner, Athiya kept things traditional and comfortable in a fuschia pink anarkali and bandhni dupatta by Lajjoo. Love the simple, no-fuss look!
The After-Party
Athiya Shetty wore a gorgeous one-of-a-kind ensemble at her after-party- super pretty yet breezy to dance the night away in! It was a Lucknowi pant-suit with chikankari work paired with pearls and sequin work by Anjul Bhandari which was definitely very unique! She paired it with sneakers and diamond hoops- very practical choices!
The Reception
For her Reception, Athiya chose a rather offbeat outfit- a customised Anamika Khanna outfit which seemed classy and comfy to dance the night away in. She paired it with customised jewellery from Birdhichand.
The Decor
Not only were Athiya's looks so well thought of and perfect, but the decor By Rani Pink Love for each and every function was magical too- especially considering the fact that this was a farmhouse wedding!
Mehendi
The mehendi decor was spectacular- the block printed drapes and tents were from Jaipur, handmade by artisans. Every corner of the garden was flooeded with blooming bougainvilleas in hot pink, coral and white. The perfect colour pop for a beautiful winter day. And as the sunset, the milky bulbs came on like twinkling lights against a painted sky. Looks just out of a fairytale, right?
Muhuratam
The decor for the muhuratam is so gorgeous even for an intimate garden wedding. Beautiful old trees layered in jasmine strings, beds of mogra and the most gorgeous linen in old world brocades hand dyed in a soft mint palette- simply stunning!
Haldi
The haldi was a blooming marigold garden with layers from floor to ceiling- very very gorgeous and perfect for inspiration!
The Welcome Dinner
Minimal, earthy and feminine- this was the decor for the welcome dinner. The colour story was oatmeal and nude. Spectacular table sets with flowing tone on tone runners and napkins edged with delicate glass beads, tables layered with peonies, wild flowers, pinecones and seashells looked delicate and inviting. The raw pinewood bar, the trees layered with twinkling candles in beautiful glass containers and the tiny milky bulbs on the ceiling made the place feel warm and romantic.
