Meet Sumi and Tarkik
I first met my spouse at a mutual friend's wedding in 2016. I was there to support my friend, and little did I know, I would meet the love of my life that day. He was one of the groomsmen, and we were introduced during the rehearsal dinner. From the moment we started talking, there was an instant connection. We spent the evening chatting and getting to know each other, discovering we had so much in common, from our love for travel to our favorite books and movies.
As the wedding festivities continued, we found more opportunities to spend time together, and by the end of the weekend, we knew there was something special between us. After the wedding, we kept in touch, and our relationship blossomed from there. It's been an incredible journey since then, and I feel so blessed to be marrying my best friend and soulmate.

Juroon (Assamese Ceremony)
From The Bride:
Our wedding took place on November 21, 2023. Our wedding at Raffles Udaipur was an unforgettable mix of tradition and style, perfectly brought to life by The Event Designer. We kicked things off with a Rajasthani Welcome Lunch, giving our guests a taste of local heritage since we're from Dibrugarh and wanted something unique.
The Haldi was like a Greek carnival with whites and blues everywhere, super fresh and fun. Our Sangeet had a Starry Night vibe, complete with twinkling lights and a dreamy atmosphere. For our Juroon, we went with soft pastels, adding a touch of elegance to the ceremony.
And for the big day, we honored our roots with a traditional Assamese wedding all in white – simple, pure, and beautiful. Each event had its own special touch, thanks to The Event Designer, who made our vision come to life effortlessly.
Everything was perfect as the groom was himself a Wedding Photographer!

Sahil and Nishita from The Event Designer are fantastic! Their decor ideas were super creative, and they got us a great deal on the venue too. They came up with fun activities for each ceremony that really made the events special. From traditional Rajasthani folk dances at our welcome lunch to a lively Greek-themed Haldi with music and games, a starry night Sangeet with a DIY photo booth, and pastel-themed crafts during the Juroon – every moment was memorable. Highly recommend them for an unforgettable wedding experience.
