Are Jaali Designs in Mehendi Back With a Bang?

BY Latha Sunadh | 01 Jun, 2016 | 4443 views | 2 min read

Mid-week begins with a bang at the WMG HQ with so many new pictures, ideas and inspiration on our gallery wall. And most importantly, every second picture is a mehendi design, better than the other. Seems like everyone's looking for newer ideas and some kickass new trends and what do we see? A recurring theme in a new avatar. The jaali designs have made a comeback people and they're more intricate and more delicate. They're not for the faint-hearted and this design in particular seems to be super popular among brides once again. Plus, this design simply requires a lot of time and patience - both from the bride and the mehendi artist. So here are a few designs that keep coming back on our gallery and Pinterest - jaali designs that are spectacular and intricate. 1446748665_IMG_5836

What's the new twist in these jaali designs? Instead of the jaali being a filler or something that works on the fringe,  it's now the main design and everything else warms up around it. It's also gotten more intricate and more thin, and it acts like delicate jewellery designs. kulbeer

Instead of using it around the design, just keep the jaali the centre of attention and build towards the end. Add stones or trinkets to the design too if you want. The more intricate, the better. SZ Photo

So the beauty of the design is shown, keep the mehendi designs going all over your elbows and your ankles. The more the build-up, the better it looks. What do you think? Do jaali designs interest you? Do take a look the rest of the gallery to bookmark the ones you like!
