An Intimate Wedding Where Everything From The Invites To The Outfits Was DIY!

An intimate wedding with a bride in a gorgeous saree, this was truly an elegant celebration. The bride is a total DIY queen and she designed not only her own outfits, but also her husband's, and dare we say it was perfect. The celebration was all about commemorating the love the two of them shared and it shows in each picture beautifully captured by the Whitebox team. However, it was not just the decor or the outfits that we adored, it was also the fact that the wedding happened in the backyard of her home!
Meet Shreshi & Rohit
Shreshi tells us how they met and how 9 years of relationship converted into a lifelong marriage, "We met in college and have known each other for 9 years. We were in no rush to get married since we already felt like we were married a long time ago. We were traveling in Vietnam in September 2018 when we merely discussed that maybe time! We came back and told our families that we are finally seriously contemplating marriage and were insistent on doing a court marriage but our families got so excited ( they wanted us to get married a long time ago) and before we knew it; things started escalating from one function to another and ended up in us having proper two day wedding surrounded by close friends and families. We, of course, couldn't be happier. I had so much fun during my own wedding that I couldn't keep calm for a week out of excitement! :) We moved to New York right after the wedding and are based out of here now!"

From The Bride:
We always wanted an intimate wedding with our close family and friends: simple and full of fun and smiles. And our wedding was exactly like that. I designed all my and my husband's outfits. We did a digital invitation that I created myself using Canva!
Vendor Reviews:
Ritika Vats: She did an incredible job. Since, I was sure I wanted to keep everything simple and real, I knew I needed to look like my self - something I told Ritika and she completely understood it without any further explanations. I couldn't be happier with the way I looked on my wedding day.
The Whitebox: I really wanted to have an all women crew for my wedding - while it's easier to find a woman make-up artist etc. It's not the same with the photographers and videographers. My search ended when I founded white box which is run by the incredible Jituli Punjabi. As with everything else with my wedding I wanted my pictures and videos to be real. The white box team did an excellent job, I couldn't even thought of better pictures from my wedding.
Deluxe Decorator: One thing I never had worry about was finding the kickass wedding decorator for my wedding since my best friend Ektaa Mohinani who runs deluxe decorators is one. Needless to say that my wedding decor was perfect and real: just the way I wanted.
