Niharika & Ayush got married with the closest of their friends and family, and celebrated their love without the traditional customs or rituals. They got married as equals, believing in marriage as a union of love. Niharika looked gorgeous in a beautiful floral lehenga in pastel shades, perfect for a day wedding! Her vibrant mehendi lehenga was a short lehenga, ideal for mehendi and she effortlessly rocked the look. Shutterdown - Lakshya Chawla shot this wedding beautifully, capturing the couple's many joyous moods throughout the wedding functions.
Meet Niharika & Ayush
They knew each other since forever! The childhood friends, soon became lovers and eventually, partners for life, "We are childhood family friends, both of us were together in school for a few years and then Ayush went to The Doon School, Dehradun and I went to Scindia Girls School and then MGD, Jaipur. After our schooling, we were together in the same college and that's how we got really close and we started dating in our first year of college. We have been together for almost 9 years now."

The Wedding
From The Bride:
We got married on the 14th of February in Agra and wanted an intimate wedding with just our close family and friends, which happened well for us. Our wedding was a two-day, absolutely crazy and not-so-hectic affair! We wanted to enjoy every function thoroughly of our wedding, which we did. We did not want too many rituals throughout the course of our wedding and we are happy our families supported us with that decision. Our wedding was all about equality and we did not follow any ritual that didn't make us comfortable in any way, such as Kanyadaan, separate Pujas, wearing of Mangalsutra among others. We always wanted a Day Wedding and we are glad that happened for us too! Whoever says that the couple or their families do not have fun at their wedding was super wrong cause we had the time of our lives with no regrets and wouldn't have done it any other way. Our wedding was all about celebrating Love, Dancing till our feet hurt and Enjoying every bit of it with our most beloved people by our side!
Vendor Reviews:
Photographers: Shutterdown Photography
We absolutely love candid photography and the kind that tells a story. So, when we were shortlisting our Photographers, we closely went through the work of ShutterDown and Lakshay in particular, and we were simply blown away with their work and were completely sure that we wanted them, with Lakshay specifically to make our Wedding Photography fairytale-like. Their whole team was super warm and friendly, and super well mannered and punctual for every function. We absolutely love the photographs and videos of each and every function, and to simply put it - they made our wedding really special for us!
Bridal Outfits: Wedding - Anita Dongre
I absolutely love her work and I had decided a long while back that it is her design that I am going to wear on my Wedding Day. Since mine was a Day Wedding the type of colours and work they do completely matched my wedding taste/style. And I have always wanted something which is not too heavy and elegant at the same time and honestly I feel no one better than Anita Dongre does that.
Bridal Outfits: Sangeet - Payal Keyal
It was the first time I saw her collection and was absolutely in awe of her collection. To all the brides-to-be I would definitely suggest to check out her collection too as I am pretty sure you are going to love it too.
Bridal Outfits: Mehendi - Manvi Kapoor
She has really elegant and simple outfits. My lehenga was exactly what I was looking for my Mehendi function, which was - light, beautiful and colourful!
Groom Wear: Mehendi - Amaare, Sangeet - Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Wedding - Study by Janak
They are all super cool and every groom must definitely check out all three of them. Particularly for your Sherwanis, do go to SBJ, which is in South Ex as if you want good designs at good prices, they definitely fit the bill.
