There's just something so serene and pretty about a pastel wedding. It looks effortlessly elegant without looking over the top, and when it's a cross-culture ceremony, then it truly becomes special! This wedding was delayed by a year and a half, no thanks to the pandemic, but when it did happen, it was worth the wait! When we came across Tanvika and Arya's wedding, we instantly loved the vibe, and the bride's gorgeous outfit. This was one beautifully whimsical Florida wedding!
Meet Tanvika and Arya
We met ten years ago while we were both first-years in college. I was visiting Harvard to stay with my best friend from high school for the weekend and Arya and I met at a party by total chance, as we happened to have some mutual friends. We talked all weekend and when I went back to Duke, we continued to do so and ended up doing long-distance for all four years of college.

Reception
From The Bride:
Our wedding style was a combination of more traditional Indian (summery and light, not too heavy) with Persian (contemporary and classy). Since everything was in Florida in the month of July, there were a lot of light pinks, purples, golds, champagnes, and whites with flowers everywhere. We incorporated candles and greenery to the Mandap and the Persian Sofreh table and loved having pops of color throughout the weekend.
My favorite moment from the wedding was having all of our close friends and family participate in our Ceremony. After a tough year and a half, it was really emotional to have them all by our side.
Vendor Reviews
Venue
The venue for our wedding was the Naples Grande Beach Resort. All of our main events were held here over the weekend (except for the Haldi and Mehndi parties at our house). The venue was absolutely amazing, but the staff who work there were the highlight. They loved having all of our family and friends stay there throughout the holiday weekend (July 4th) and took care of every single detail in a seamless way. We loved it!
MUA and Hair
My hair and makeup was by Tiffany from Bronze+Glow Beauty (@bronzeglowbeauty). She and her partner did an amazing job with the hair and makeup for my mom and mother-in-law, as well! They truly made us feel beautiful all weekend and the looks that they created were different for each event. I love their subtle and sophisticated style!
Wedding Planning
Our wedding planner was Eventrics Weddings (@eventricsw) and we had been working with them for over two years since our wedding was originally supposed to be last summer. Their entire team (four people were at the venue all weekend) was incredible - from all of the planning before the wedding, the week-of logistics, and weekend-of management, it was truly a dream. We got so many compliments from family members and friends about how Eventrics handled everything professionally and with a very positive attitude throughout!
Photographer
Our photographer was Austin Trenholm of Trenholm Photo (@trenholmphoto) and words cannot describe how much I love everything that he did. He was so personable with all of our guests, extremely organized, and took the most beautiful photos of all of us. We chose him because of his dreamy photography style and were so impressed!
Decor
Our decor and flowers for the whole weekend were created by Suhaag Garden (@suhaaggarden) and we would not have had the wedding of our dreams without them. Each event was so professionally handled, the flowers were stunning, and the team was always courteous and extremely organized. We worked with them closely over the last couple of years to come up with our vision for the weekend and they delivered something even better than what we could have imagined.
Henna Artist
My henna was done by the brilliant Henna Allure team (@hennaallure) two days before the Sangeet at my house and I was extremely happy with how it all turned out. The team was really fun to work with and patiently worked through the intricate designs for my full bridal henna plus henna for my family and friends. They were amazing!
DJ
We had Pavan Events (@pavanevents) for our DJ throughout the weekend and they were absolute rockstars. They did light emceeing, the whole baraat with a dhol, and the main events and were fantastic. They did a great job of combining Indian music, Persian music, and English music to create a huge party for all of us (our families love to dance and party so this was essential)!
Catering
Our catering was a combination of delicious food from our venue itself (Sangeet, Reception, breakfasts) and from 21 Spices, a fantastic restaurant in Naples that catered our post-Ceremony lunch. Food taste and quality is really important to both of our families and the food throughout the weekend was a huge hit!
Invitations
Our invitations were designed by the talented Rohan and Aparna (@rohanaparnainvitations) in Gurgaon in 2019. We sent these out last year but then since we had to delay our wedding we did not send additional physical invites. They created beautiful cards that we will always treasure.
