Ahaana Deols Wedding Reception Photos: Shantanu & Nikhil Gown

After a star-studded wedding celebration in Mumbai, the festivities and the Deol parivar moved to Delhi for the reception. While there were still 'stars' attending the Delhi reception, these stars were significantly lacking in their prettiness and fashion department .(Politicians you see, you cannot expect much from LK Advani now can you??? I thought of showing you guest photos but everywhere I looked I saw bald political heads so lets not go there ) . What did work however was Ahaana Deols Reception Gown. After a string of very 'meh' sort of outfits for her Sangeet and Wedding  , this ice blue Shantanu & Nikhil gown was quite flattering for her body type.

An ice blue-grey Shantanu & Nikhil Gown on Ahaana for the reception. The couple looks kind of cute huh?  It's the perfect height-difference combination ! If she had just done her hair up, skipped the diamond necklace and opted for large sapphire earrings with dark smokey eyes, that would have just killed it !

Esha turned up in what looked like a purple fluffy cake- don't miss the jewelled hand sling. Hema Malini looked ever elegant minus the jewelry though! What the hell is happening with that? Ahaana wore Minimal choora- just about 6 bangles- that's what I wore ! What do you think of wearing gowns for Indian events like receptions? They are becoming increasingly popular in India- would you wear one?? I think it depends on the gown- Ahaana's gown was quite 'Indianish' in the embroidery and stuff- its the red carpet style gowns which tend to look out-of-place !
