The best way to lift a dreary Tuesday? This adorable backyard engagement which is guaranteed to put a smile on your face . Between the lace umbrella with the candy pink paper hearts (what a fabulous photo op), the boho-chic wreath on the brides hair, and all the tiny little details (a giant Jenga game-yes please!) , this beautiful engagement party makes us feel warm, tingly things inside ;)

Meet Hemant and Preet
Preet recounts "Hemant proposed to me on the beach after a day of Kayaking on the 31 January 2015. We wanted to share our happy day with our family and friends and planned an Engagement party with a “hint of blue” to symbolise our love for the beach and one another"
From the bride: We decided to hold the party in Hemant's backyard as it’s a fairly large and provided us with the freedom of being creative with our ideas. So we hired a marquee and got started! We wanted to keep the party fun and casual so decided to make it a cocktail event and most of the styling was DIY. Hemant decorated the entire backyard with fairy lights to create a magical scene. I bought all the decorations from eBay, including the lanterns and the flowers were fresh from the Sydney flower markets and bought by my dad. We thought the personalized cocktails Preetini and He-man created a bit of flair and fun to the bar scene. Everyone loved the concept of personalized cocktails and they were both a huge hit with all our friends. I bought a “giant jenga” from eBay. This is a large version of the regular Jenga game and the guests enjoyed playing this while standing around chatting and drinking. My best friend my high school helped me make an awesome personalised dessert tables with a beautiful cake, cookies and little popcorn gift boxes which stated “Hemant Popped the Question, Preet said Yes” I think that sums up most of the unique ideas behind the party but I think what made the night really special was all our friends and family were there to share this special day with us and create memories we will cherish forever.Vendors: Venues : Grooms backyard | Photography: Chris James | Bridal Outfits : Something Nice | Make-Up & Hair : Gather & Stitch | Grooms outfit: Politix |Decor: DIY, Tenting from Absolute Party Hire| Desserts : Cakes by Naureen| Giant Jenga from eBay
