Meet Ashima & Rajat
She is a healthcare professional from Delhi, he a financial whiz in Mumbai. While it was the typical arranged marriage route that got these two together, what really made them click on their first meeting was the Mumbai vs Delhi debate. It was heated arguements like those while taking a stroll through Hauz Khaz village that made them fall for each and they chose a wintery November night to tie the knot.
The wedding
Pretty shades of peach with gold. The hanging kalira decor with minimal flowers is a great alternative for a mandap
The colors . Oh those colors! Vendor details about lehenga given at the end.
Dont miss the pom-pom detailing on the lehenga in mint and peach
A few shots from the engagement
From the bride: We had 9 months of courtship before the ceremonies began. It was me who planned most of the details, Rajat just planned the honeymoon (typical!). Right from decor where I made the decorator (details given below ) understand that I didn't want a 'phoolon ki chaadar to walk under so he made a chaadar of electric diyas and kalire, to the mandap with soft peach hues. Even for the invitation I got a separate invite for my in laws which was a marble title printed invite with our engagement pic, and a save the date E card for all my friends. I always knew I did not want to wear a red lehenga, so the colors in my wedding lehenga were just refreshing and beautiful- a mint with a coral. The minute i spotted it in Om prakash, I knew this was it (vendor details given below)My MUA Shruti Sharma was one of the best things that happened to me. I was so particular about my makeup and quite nervous about who to hire, but my search ended as soon as I did a makeup trial with her. I wanted a subtle look n she gave the perfect one by using the best colors acc to my attire. She took her time and worked patiently but I was ready well before time.
Overall wedding blogs and magazines came to my rescue during d whole time of preparation. I got a lot of help n links regarding small details of where, what to buy whether its the outfits, photography, mehendi, trousseau etc..
