There are a very few weddings that totally leaves us awestruck, and this is one of them! What if we tell you that their wedding celebrations were planned keeping in mind the places that have played an important part in their magical courtship. Sounds interesting, right? Not only the couple beautifully coordinated their wedding outfits, but we majorly crushed on how they had two weddings. It was nothing but an amalgamation of tradition & oodles of fun! And Amit Photography made sure every little detail is taken care of and captured through his lens!

Talking about how they first met, Shikha says, "We met through some common friends during our graduation days in the US"! Clearly, their love story unfolds beautiful experiences of their college life, and how they grew up together!

We had two weddings, one as per Hindu traditions in North India (Lucknow), and another as per Aryasamaj in Gujarat (Vadodara). For Lucknow wedding we dressed in pastels; me, Yash and our sisters color coordinated the outfits in peach and iced blue! For Vadodara wedding, we dressed in South Indian attires, as I and Yash have spent a few years in Chennai and Bangalore. Hence, the Kanjeevaram Saree and temple jewellery. Similarly for reception, we went with classic American wedding look, with white ball gown and black tuxedo as we live in U.S now.

This is how we planned our wedding like a journey with the places which have played important parts in our lives.

Chamee and Palak - We worked with them over video calls and WhatsApp messages, as I live in San Francisco. They were amazing and helped me with deciding the details of the outfit! When I tried the lehenga one week before my wedding, it fitted perfectly and was as beautiful and intricate as I wanted it to be! Definitely, a 5-stars rating for them! 

Amit Photography - He and his team literally created magic! They were very punctual, professional and knew how to get the best traditional and candid shots. 

Bridal Makeup by Bhaavya Kapur - She flawlessly created this natural makeup with smokey eyes and nude lips, which beautifully complimented my skin tone and outfit!

Book Your Celebration (Event Planner) - They took care of decor, catering, following up with vendors, airport pick up and drop for all the guests. We could fully enjoy our wedding because of the team.

Camille-la-vie, US (For Reception Gowns) - I visited their store in Phoenix, Arizona and absolutely loved their collection. I ended up picking gowns for me and all my bridesmaids. Also, we felt the place was a little crowded!
