A pink and lime Mehendi with a touch with Love !

BY The WMG Bride | 01 Feb, 2015 | 11307 views | 3 min read

Not only do these pictures from Morvi Images capture the fun and madness of this function, but the lovely lime and pink decor with our favourite prop of all the 'LOVE' ladder ensure this is definitely one of the more memorable mehendis we have featured. Special mention to the brides stunning dull gold outfit with pallazos- that is so unique.

Meet Ria and Gautam

In Ria's words :Gautam and I met through an arranged set up. As mundane as it sounds, it was just the opposite. We guys hit it off the very first time itself but I guess we met a few more times to convince ourselves that yes you can fall in love even if the meeting was 'arranged' haha. I don't want to sound cheesy but it's true that he completes me. He is very grounded and calm whereas I am hyper and loud so we are perfect for each other"   35-love-signat-mehendi10-IMG_2311 08-kundan-meena-earringswhite-sharara-delhi 19-IMG_251909-IMG_2285-239-mehendi-decor (4)37-mehendi-decor (2)29-IMG_309834-love-sign-at-indianwedding42-photobooth (3) GALLERY From the bride:  I wanted my Mehndi to be a day affair with a  fusion of  traditional Indian and Vintage English. For the decor I chose the rustic English theme as I didn't want to use the cliche Oranges and yellows that most mehendi's these days seem to have . The same goes for my clothes - instead of layering on tons of color  I chose a dull gold outfit  which had pallazo pants in a very pakistani style with a pink gota chunni. To add the traditional touch I invited the famous 'kaur sisters' to perform as I'm a full on punjabi and absolutely loved it To add a bit of quirkiness (someone's wise advice) I got boards printed for the variety of food being served ( eg: Theka for the bar,  Firangi for Thai & chinese) . To be honest I had a lot more in my head to add but didn't really get the time to execute it - But I have no complaints at all because after all the planning what matters is the people. I would love to mention the biggest surprise which I got was from Gautam and my 2 besties which made it so so memorable for me. Gautam performed on the song ' Mein koi aisa geet gaun' from the movie yes boss and exactly the way Shahrukh did with so  props coming out of his jacket... ( yes I'm a Bollywood freak and I loveeeeee this song) and yes I am a very very lucky bride  . In terms of vendors who I loved, please click on full gallery link to see all reviews- specia l shoutout to Morvi who is not just a thorough professional but so warm and friendly and I love how she gave different effects to different functions, which took me back to the day when i flip through the photos. P.S- an advice for the future brides. Try and get your Mehndi put one day before the function and more so if it's a day affair as you can totally enjoy your own function and not be tied up for 4 hrs seeing everyone else enjoy haha. I think it was the best decision as I could dance freely from the start till the very end
