A Lavish Wedding With Loads Of Decor Inspo!

BY Anupriya | 12 Feb, 2020 | 4347 views | 4 min read

One look at Anuradha and Sachin's lavish nuptials in South Africa and you would instantly fall in love. There were elements more than one that made us go weak in the knees. Whether it was Anuradha's blush pink saree with a dupatta or the scenic property of The Fairmont Zimbali that acted as the perfect backdrop for their union, everything was purely inspirational. However, if we were to pick one favorite element, it was undeniably the breathtaking decor that stole the show for us... Especially the Mehndi pool party!- It was all painted in yummy, cupcake hues.

Kudos to the ace team of The Cheesecake Project★ 4.8 who captured their wedding shenanigans with such finesse and got us smitten!

Meet Anuradha & Sachin

"We met at a common’s friend wedding in Hua Hin, Thailand. He was born and brought up in Mauritius but had moved to DR Congo when he was 18 years old. We had never met in Mauritius before the wedding in Thailand. He immediately took a liking to me and we stayed in touch and met wherever we could in different countries. He eventually proposed in Zanzibar, one year later."

Vendor Reviews:

The Fairmont Zimbali: The hotel was very accommodating and flexible, where our needs were concerned. The property is stunning with amazing views over the Ocean. South Africa still has a lot to learn about Indian Destination Weddings but with the help of the hotel’s in-house wedding planner and my own wedding planner, they managed to do a fantastic job.

Make Up your Mind: The Make Up and Hair Artist was very professional, super friendly and on point with my hair make up.

The Cheesecake Project: Probably one of the best decisionI I have taken in the whole wedding planning process is to fly this team of 6 people from Mumbai. They were unbelievable and the pictures speak for themselves. Stuti is one of sweetest and bubbliest person I have ever met.

Weddings by Marius: Marius was just amazing. It was his first Indian wedding and we spoke for hours about the events, rituals and decors. He understood everything that I wanted and delivered beyond expectations. He is very thorough and meticulous in his planning. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to do an Indian wedding in South Africa.

Adore Weddings: We created a different feel and setting for each day using only natural flowers. For wedding day and Reception, Adore Weddings did the decor. She delivered beyond expectations - she is a true artist.

As we did a destination wedding, we wanted all our guests to feel warmly welcomed and all the details taken care for them. Whilst planning we had in mind a cosy and elegant wedding, with good food and drinks being our priority. We had insisted that during the three days of celebrations, only natural flowers should be used. Hence not a single artificial flower was used.

Dipti Nathoo: My Mehndi artist did a very good job, both for me as well as the guests.

I loved all of my outfits throughout. The Sabyasachi lehenga was my dream outfit.
