Here's a lil' challenge for you!
Think of things this wedding didn't have, and we bet there will not be a lot you'll be able to think of! Mayuri and Ritesh's super fun Jaipur wedding is a sight for sore eyes and had so many things going for it- the larger than life decor at every function that left us with a constant 'Whoaa', dreamy outfits in interesting silhouettes, and of course, an interesting mix of functions that made the wedding week no less than a party we wouldn't have ever missed attending (if only we were invited, LOL).
What's even more enticing is the candidness that came through in each of the pictures. A huge shout-out to Recall Pictures for making sure all that gorgeousness was captured perfectly on the frame for us to drool over!
Meet Mayuri & Ritesh
"We met at a wedding in Pune in 2013, where we instantly connected. He has a family business in perfumes in Dubai, and I coincidentally come from a family of perfumers in Spain too. He was brilliant, extremely funny, and very quirky at heart. I thought I’d found a wonderful friend! When I moved to Dubai a few weeks after the fateful wedding to kick-start my law career, little did I know that our fleeting friendship would evolve into a whirlwind romance", shares Mayuri.

From The Bride
"Both Ritesh and I wanted a destination wedding – something away from Spain and the Dubai. We wanted a resort venue with beautiful spaces, where our family and friends could party and bond and spend all their time together. We had a year to plan, which was perfect because both Ritesh and I are detail-oriented and wanted this wedding to mean something to us. Each function was based on a season of the year, signifying our unwavering love for each other through the passage of time."
JW Marriott Hotel & Spa, Jaipur India. I was researching and discovered that JW Marriott will open a new property in Jaipur – a palatial spa resort with enough rooms to accommodate our 300-odd guests, a grand ballroom for late night parties, a beautiful pool for a sundowner fest, and, above all, the friendliest people behind it. It ticked all our boxes! My father and Ritesh’s brother seamlessly bonded with the owner Mr Mohan Sukhani, who promised us the dream wedding I was hoping for. We were the second family to book the hotel for a wedding prior to its opening, so everything was trust-based. We went with our gut and, in hindsight, it was the best decision.
Recall Pictures did our photos and videos. They were a lot of fun to work with, and delivered everything in a timely and professional manner. We built a wonderful relationship with their team, and they made us feel very comfortable.
We were very particular with our vision, our budget and the overall feel of this wedding, and knew exactly what we wanted. Dreamzkrraft Decor executed those intricacies efficiently. We had a million ideas and held many meetings in their office, going back and forth until everyone was on the same page. Our planners, Krayonz Events, treated us with the same respect. Our priority was comfort for our guests, so from airport pick-up, to drop-off, the events team nailed it at understanding our wishes. I loved the shadows they provided for us and for our families – we couldn’t have been happier.
Spring Mehendi - Anushree Reddy lehenga. All our guests were in white for the Holi party, and Ritesh and I wore lime green and yellow to offset this. Brights and whites was the dress code! Autumn Sangeet - Manish Malhotra lehenga. I loved Anushka Sharma’s entire Sufi look in the song Channa Mereya from the movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and wanted to recreate this in hues of green and gold from Manish Malhotra. The team from their Delhi store was incredibly sweet and very helpful in making sure I attain that look to perfection. Monsoon Wedding - Sabyasachi lehenga. I had dreamed of being a Sabya bride for years preceding my wedding, before I had even met Ritesh. I felt like a million bucks in my red-pink intricate lehenga, which I fell in love with at their Mumbai flagship store. After Party - Monisha Jaising saree gown. I wanted something different, comfortable, modern and traditional for this function. The saree gown was an unusual but befitting choice. Summer Pool Party - Sherri Hill skirt and top. I fell in love with the blue and white outfit the minute I saw it online, especially the beautiful balloon skirt. It didn't stop me from going in the pool! Winter Reception - Monisha Jaising gown. Because we traditionally don't wear all white, I opted to wear a pale pink and silver off-shoulder gown with a long trail and an even longer veil. I felt like a complete princess. I was extremely happy with all my oufits - the fit, the comfort, the whole purchasing experience - everything went perfectly well for me fortunately.
We hired Mayuri Mehendi Artist from Surat for my mehendi. They were a reliable and fuss free team that specialises in images and funky design mehendi.
Here's an account of Ritesh's outfits- Spring Mehendi - Sameer Patel sherwani. Ritesh wore a malhari style bright lemon yellow sherwani that matched mine. Autumn Sangeet - Shantanu & Nikhil sherwani. Ritesh complemented me in an intricate threaded maroon and olive-green sherwani from Shantanu & Nikhil. We have to mention that their Mumbai store team was brilliant and incredibly sweet to work with. Monsoon Wedding - Sabyasachi sherwani. Ritesh found his perfect wedding outfit at the Mumbai flagship store where the super helpful team styled his ivory and off-white sherwani with a gold saafa and a light pink dupatta. After Party - Karrtik D suit. Ritesh, who never shies away from all things quirky, got in touch with the designer Karrtik D, who created a unique, Bombay-themed tuxedo for him. Summer Pool Party - Troy Costa shorts and blazer. We discussed my Sherri Hill outfit with Troy in Mumbai and had something matching made for Ritesh! Winter Reception - Troy Costa tux. No one does luxurious tuxedos and suits better than Troy. Ritesh looked dapper in a deep bottle green velvet tux in the last function.
My stationery was made by Resham Moorjani who runs Moor Designs. She's incredibly talented, very creative, and we loved her style," shares Mayuri.
