“Samridh and I had planned to do Europe for our honeymoon since a long time. We barely had a 10 day gap between our wedding and a close friend's wedding leaving us with 8-9 days for honeymoon. We decided to cover three most beautiful regions- Paris, Rome and Tuscany. It was super cold in December but since Christmas was around, every corner felt magical.” -shares Rozly
Where to Stay?
We stayed at the Courtyard Gare de Lyon in Paris. When booking in Paris, it’s preferable to choose a place with a view of the Eiffel Tower and close to the subway or main stations. Rome is a smaller city, so you can stay almost anywhere. However, make sure to check the room size and read hotel reviews online before making a reservation.
Where to eat?
In Paris, visit Angelina for the best hot chocolate, Café de Flore, Bambini, and the Champs-Élysées for some of the top cafés.
In Italy, Latteria Trastevere and Bar Palomba were truly amazing. Be sure to indulge in house wines and French desserts wherever you go.
Must-Visit Spots
A trip to the Tuscan region is a must-explore. The entire area of Tuscany is incredibly beautiful. The food, culture, and architecture are heavenly. I even recommend spending 10-12 days in Italy for a honeymoon.
Valuable Tips
In terms of luxury shopping, airports are the cheapest (3-4% less expensive than city stores, including VAT refunds). Explore outlet villages for more economical but older collections.
Try to explore Europe on foot as much as possible, and use the subway instead of taxis in Paris.
