A dollop of sunshine in Chandigarh

BY The WMG Bride | 25 Jan, 2015 | 6832 views | 2 min read

Weddings from Punjab all have a big dollop of color and sunshine just like this one here with a generous smatter of rustic elements. With a summery yellow and white color scheme on the wedding day;  a bride in a gota-work sharara and rustic punjabi juttis with pom poms; and photography through the lens of the insanely talented photographer Kismet Jewell Nakai (also a wedding blogger) - this Chandigarh wedding will definitely lift your spirits.

Meet Nidhi and Prab

Nidhi recounts "Me and my husband got talking through a matrimonial in May last year and then he came down to see me from London in June for a few days . To be more sure of things  I made a trip to London in August for three weeks  and we really experienced so much together  like pub hopping, shopping, casinos and hanging out with each other s friends to know more about each other . That's really how all of it started"

From the bride:  Well to start off with I knew what I wanted to wear on the wedding day .. A long shirt and a sharara but wasn't sure of the colors . I wanted to be slightly unconventional in color choices so instead of red or pink I chose a slightly off beat orange color and the inspiration for the pink floor was taken from candy floss ;)
I wanted the wedding to be a small affair with just two hundred people . Luckily my close friends own one of the best catering firms called four seasons in Chandigarh . So they were of great help and I would say they took care of everything from the decor to the florist to the food and venue. I was fully involved in terms of deciding the colors and the theme but overall had nothing to worry about .
