While the ingredients maybe common, the packaging can totally be the game changer. So fill the most popular spices in cute tiny mason jars and add custom mehendi packaging - all they now need to do is to just take it home and put it up in the kitchen. Nice, no? You can also innovate with cinnamon powder or ginger powder. White pepper can be an option - so many spices. My favourite is saffron, but OMG it's so expensive!Laddoos with Custom-made Packaging

Chocolates and laddoos are common but again, it's about making them look cuter than cute. So really, create a custom cover for your chocolates with zari or kundan borders. You could even choose unconventional chocolate flavours like Red Rice and Guntur Chilli from labels like Bean Therapy in Mumbai and Smitten Bakery & Patisserie in Delhi. Even laddoos can be recreated with your favourite flavours and packaged innovatively with crepe paper. A cute idea would be to make them at home and DIY the borders and zaris on them. You can remove the dairy milk chocolate packaging and add your own.
Chutneys + Jams

Chutneys and jams in teeny tiny jars can really be such cute giveaways. Just try those new flavours and ingredients, not the traditional ones. The Apple Cinnamon Jam at Fab India is our favourite. Also, a whole arsenal of Bacon Jam, Orange Marmalade, Honey Butters etc from Yummade and The The Gourmet Jar . Or make this really cute easy recipe I actually tried: Honey Orange Butter from Buzzfeed. Really easy and put it in cute jars.Metallic Tattoos
So bindis are so last season, now it's all about metallic tattoos a la Beyonce. We did write about these cutesy things a while back, but honestly let your girlfriends have fun with it. Go for simple ones that look like a tattoo to the ones that look like full-on mehendi - body tattoos are so so it, and you'll always be remembered for your style! Koovs has some really great ones to buy and at reasonable prices too.Cookie + Icing Box

Okay so all focus these days is on homemade and locally-made. So you could make a cute lip balm or kajal at home with local ingredients and give it out. I love this simple lip balm recipe, it takes only 5 minutes to make it at home. Try making soaps too, I saw my favourite blogger Saffrontrail make some scrubs at home - real sweet stuff!Candles of DIY
