5 Tree Houses That You MUST Experience With Your Partner At Least Once In Life!

I don't know about you, but I always wanted to live in a tree-house when I was a kid (Wait, I won't mind living in one even now, at 23!) There's something about living in a wooden house up in the trees that screams 'fun' like nothing else!

Last evening over coffee breaks, when we discussed our childhood dreams, I couldn't help shake this one out of my mind! A lingering thought turned into random Google browsing overnight and voila, here I am with a list of tree houses around the world, that have now made it to my bucket list! If you want to let that child inside you out again, here's a little something for you too! Pack your bags, kidnap your partner (not really, let them know and THEN kidnap them!) and head straight to one of these places for an offbeat experience!

1. Keemala

Where? Phuket

Imagine living in a cocoon-like house up in the trees, waking up to stunning views of the Arabian Sea? Good news, you can live your dreams at Keemala resort, which features a combination of woodhouses, a spa and wellness center, soothing massage treatments and a restaurant! Oh, and with all this, you also get complimentary gorgeously scenic views! Haha!

Best Time To Visit? Phuket is an all year round holiday destination but November- April are 'dry months' when the tourist traffic is at peak.

2. The Pinecone Treehouse

Where? Bonny Doon, California

Treehouse hotels never stop surprising us but this one tops the chart through and through! The O2 Pinecone is shaped like a pinecone (DUH) and seems to be floating mid-air, giving you a 360 degree view of the surrounding Red Wood forest. 

O2 Pinecone is a treehouse with an adventure! Hanging 10 m above the ground, the only way to get to the top and inside is via a steep ladder, an adventure not everybody will be able to partake! Now you know where to escape to, if you want to turn that phone off and let everything go, and relax in the midst of nowhere, with your partner!

Best Time To Visit? Best time to visit based on average temperature and humidity is between June to mid-October.

3. Secluded Intown Treehouse

Where? Atlanta

Named AIRBNB's #! 'Most wished-for' property (worldwide) for 2016 and 2017, this treehouse is exactly what you and I can dream of! Just a few minutes away from downtown Atlanta, book this treehouse just for the two of you for the perfect urban escape. Despite being connected to the fast, city life, the property is unbelievably quiet and secluded!

The property consists of 3 different parts, each meant to serve it's own purpose- Mind (the sitting room) with antique furnishings for you to relax and talk with your partner; Body (the bedroom) to spend nights snuggling with your partner under the stars; and Spirit (the hammock deck) overlooking the lush greenery! But here's the COOLEST thing we found! The bedroom has a rolling bed which can be position in the bedroom, or just pushed out onto the deck, overlooking a stream. 4. Canopy Blue Luxury Treehouse

Where? Georgia, USA

Can you think of anything better than falling asleep in the trees and waking up to the soft chirping birds? Yeah, we neither! If you're thinking of traveling with your partner AND friends, like a double-date, this you must consider this one!

All with 3 floors,the property can comfortably house 6 people at once, and is a modern abode right in the middle of a forest! Think of it as a cozy, upscale living space, creatively done up that can double up as your vacation home, if you and your partner want to escape from the fast-paced life, while still enjoying luxurious comforts!

Best Time To Visit? We recommend visiting during the dry months, between March to May.

Where? Wayanad, Kerala

They call themselves 'Nature's Home Ground' and we wouldn't disagree! If you're not willing to travel all the way to the other corner of the world to live in a tree house, this exquisite jungle getaway will solve the purpose just right!

Elegant, and super exclusive, Vythiri Resort is located just beneath a canopy of a lush, thick rainforest which makes the retreat almost mystical, not to forget extremely cool and refreshing! While you can definitely drop at their ayurveda centre or take a dip in the natural pools, don't skip gorging out on authentic Kerala dishes! 

Best Time To Visit? While Kerala is an all-year round destination, we recommend visiting the treehouse between winter months of October to February, or during summer time from March to May.
