She's the Fashion Director at Vogue India and has her own styling company that works with enviable brands called StyleCell. We've seen her dress up Kajol from
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge in resplendent green. And then went on to win big with movies like
Dhoom, Ra.One and much recently,
Bang Bang. . Not to mention the superb bridal editorials the lady has worked on - such good stuff!
Many roles, one woman - Anaita is India's biggest stylist and knows just how brides need to look on their big day. So we asked our 5 questions at the top of our head and she answered them with immense honesty. Time to pay attention, ladies!
1. One styling tip every bride must know?
The art of layering and mixing and matching is what every bride should know. Mix heirloom pieces passed on from generations with some new ones and create a unique combination that defines who you are. Creating a fashion identity of your own is important.
2. What's the one thing women forget about while buying the wedding lehenga?
There are actually two things they forget - the right inner wear and super comfortable shoes. Your shoes rarely show, so go for the desired height with a front platform (stay comfortable!) and dance the night away...after all it's the bride's wedding.
3. A makeup trend that will never go out of style?
For me it's always the wing tipped eyeliner with a baby pink or nude mouth.
4. Three Bridal Essentials Every Bride Needs?
1. Clothes that have been tried on with the appropriate accessories.
2. A touch up kit (with your make up, her fav perfume, mints).
3. An honest best friend.
5. The jewellery style everyone loves this season?
The idea is to wear only one big piece - either a necklace or earrings so you can balance out the look. Also the
passa is having a moment.
