7 Engagement Ring Trends For 2024

BY Sakshi | 28 Mar, 2024 | 5349 views | 4 min read

Engagement rings have this charm about them that even the most elaborate set of bridal jewellery doesn't. We could honestly spend hours and hours just browsing through gorgeous engagement rings, and if you're a bride to be, then we are very jealous with the options out there available these days! So, we've curated these 5 trends that are the rage these days. If you're a 2024 bride, share this with your fiancé for a nudge in the right direction ;)

1. The 'toi et moi' trend will only get bigger

They look different and maybe sometimes weird, but this trend isn't going anywhere. "toi et moi" rings, which consist of two stones, one of which is typically larger than the other, translating to 'you and me' in French are going to continue being popular this year too. Aditi Rao Hydari picked one for her engagement with Siddharth, and we are digging it! They have been trending for a while, but are really gaining popularity now.

2. Divorce Rings!

Yup, might not be a trend brides-to-be would want to aspire for, but it's always good to know new trends! Emily Ratajkowski celebrated her single status with a set of 3-carat rings inspired by the Toi-Et-Moi engagement ring, which featured two massive stones. Now that's one good way to reuse the ring!

3. Antique Diamonds & Heirloom Stones

Old is going to be gold this time around, as 'older', more traditional cuts are the going to be the perfect choice for those who are environmentally conscious but don’t want a lab-grown stone. With everyone becoming more mindful of their purchases, this is a trend we welcome! There’s something truly special about rings that have been passed down from generation to generation, and heirloom jewellery has become all the more special in 2024 whether you choose to retain the design as it is or breathe new life into it.

P.S. Oval and Brilliant Cuts are going to be all over, and in 'trend' again! Although personally, we never thought they left!

4. Lab-grown Diamonds

They are big like never before, and expect them to get even bigger in 2024. The market is only getting bigger and bigger thanks to the lucrative prices as compared to natural diamonds, especially since they can get much bigger stones within budget. They are indistinguishable to the naked eye, and come at a better price point!

5. Colourful Stones & White Gold

Never have coloured stones been in vogue as they are now, and their popularity is only on the rise. Emeralds especially are in, as are sapphires and just check out that moss agate beauty! Green and blue engagement rings seem to be finding a lot of takers, as coloured engagement rings do make more of a statement and are cheaper than a solitaire of the same size. Also, white gold is back in vogue as it makes coloured stones pop more!

6. Ring Stacks

Ring stacks look so chic and beautiful, providing you with options to wear multiple rings together to showcase your love. They even allow you to add on to them to celebrate relationship landmarks, so the idea is gaining more and more popularity. And what to stack you ask? From anniversary bands, family heirlooms, or birthstone rings, these give the option to carry sentimental and meaningful pieces on your finger!

7. Pearl Details

Yep, pearls seem to be taking over here too! Using freshwater pearls as side stones instead of diamonds is trending, but honestly, it seems like more of a trend and not something that will become a classic style, no matter how timeless pearls might be.

Here you are then! These trends are ruling the 'gram and we suggest you go for these if they fancy you.
