Bridal exhibitions? We know you have been there and done that but have you guys attended a Mandap exhibit before? Well... we did ! Recently , 9 of Delhi's top decorators came together to showcase their wares in this one of a kind exhibition in Four Points by Sheraton New Delhi aptly titled #MandapPopUp . Here are 7 lessons we learnt from the event
#1. Hanging Lanterns make for great mandaps
Who knew those chinese style paper lanterns could be great wedding decor ??? Decorator Abhinav Bhagat showed us how.
#2. Floral string curtains make for the prettiest pictures
This bee-yoo-ti-ful setup is made even more gorge by those floral strings in white in the backdrop. Specially when you sit inside for your pheras, all those photographs will capture this in the backdrop . This one is done by The Factory, representing Four Points by Sheraton and they called this thr "Glamping themed setup" . We also love the soft candle lit glow.
#3. That flowers are not necessary for wedding decor
Rashi Nidhi Event Design showed us a super gorge mandap using ONLY candle light. How romantic would that be to get married in?
#4. Prints can be used too
The Shaadi Planners Mandap had a print of an idol in the background. Gave us some ideas- switch those prints up to anything you would want !!!
#5 Drop in a chandelier for a glam touch
We loved how Eventwala took a simple, elegant mandap several notches higher with a glam chandelier hanging down the center.
#6. Draped curtains are evergreen
Bud and Bloom showed us that curtain style drapes are classic and evergreen.
#7. That mandaps need not be square. Or circular.
Taking geometry to new levels, Designer Events Inc created a rather modern looking mandap. If you are getting married under the night sky, this is perfect.
#8. Pay attention to the linen used inside.
While Devika Sakhuja's mandap was stunning by itself, what we loved even more were the printed fabric cushions used inside to give it that, quintessential , Indian home feel. So elegant.
