WMG Red Carpet bride at Aza: The shell pink sari-gown

Meet Monica and her shell pink sari gown
The first outfit Monica tried was a super stunning, hot pink lehenga which she immediately loved . "Pink is my color" she said and you will know why when we publish those photos in the next article !! The second one we spent some time on pondering - there were so many gorgeous things at Aza, but we wanted to give a break to all the lehengas and try out something different instead. This shell pink sari-gown by Gaurav Gupta was just glistening in the light, as the champagne colored lame fabric had this gold dust sheen to it . The problem? It was WAYY too long for any girl at the shoot- but Monica being the tallest of the lot still managed to slide into it (after precariously balancing on 5 inch heels) . The gown had sheer net covering the stomach, and a pre pleated drape going across with just subtle embroidery on the blouse. This would make a super cocktail outfit for the bride/ grooms sister - we added a few quirky accessories to the look- a super sparkly clutch, and an unusual chunky blue cuff which Morvi convinced us would look great and we were set. Monica had already been given hot pink lips and a fresh, girly face by Avantika- all we did was lift her hair into a two minute messy bun and she looked like she was ready to rock and roll!- Shell pink draped gown from Aza (Find them on facebook here)

As soon as I entered the Aza store, I was taken in by all the beautiful colors all around. Since I am fond of dressing up, it seemed like I had entered my wonderland- can you imagine racks and racks of clothes and jewellery all for yours to try??? Anyway, I met the WMG team who were all so friendly and courteous and it didn't feel like Im meeting them for the first time ! Once we settled on the first outfit which was a super cute pink lehenga (coming next ), I sat infront of Avantika (who by the way has flawless skin) and she made me feel super comfortable and kept asking me my about my preferences, my skin type etc. All in all, she was very great and accommodating to work with. Our photographer Morvi is not only talented but she is such a fun loving person too, and she helped me accessorise my look with a clutch and a cuff. The way she conceptualised the shoot and also suggested different ways of facing the camera- was just brilliant .
This particular gown was my second outfit and was brought to me by Mehak from WMG. After pondering on what to wear for the second outfit we had gone through a couple of options- a green anarkali, a black Anamika Khanna draped saree but in this case , the color was love at first sight, and the minute I slipped this on we all went "This is it". Only the length was an issue but we managed somehow. We wrapped up the shoot super quickly, and then all of us sat down for coffee and sandwitches and there was non stop chatter ! A huge thank you to Avantika and Morvi for bringing the best out in me and to the WMG team for giving me this opportunity - it was a day full of so much girly fun!!!!
