Every girl loves to follow her favourite Bollywood diva, especially when it comes to choosing a perfect wedding day outfit! Our Bollywood divas make stunning brides when they don their bridal fineries, and here is a list from where you can chose your Bollywood bride BFF.
The Sexy Bride: Bipasha
Not to say, we are still reeling from the after-effects of the #monkeywedding –but Bipasha rocked her all of her wedding looks! If she is your Bollywood BFF, all you need to do is follow her golden rules. Bipasha looked one hell of a sexy bong bride in that fiery red Sabyasachi. Her makeup look was clean and bold – bringing out the sex appeal in her eyes and cheekbones. She literally let her hair down at the reception in another Sabya – this time in gold. She looked every bit hot on her wedding day as she has been for all these years!
The Simple Bride – Mira Rajput Kapoor
Mira kept it chic and subtle and chose a light pink Anamika Khanna adorned with silver and golden work. She carried it well with a statement neckpiece made of coloured gemstones, a traditional half sun maang tikka and a jhoomar. Mira’s Manish Malhotra sequinned crop top paired with a bright blue rose-printed long skirt was sheer class at the reception. A simple hairdo, minimalistic makeup and just the right amount of jewellery; elegant! If you like something simple yet elegant –Mira is your bridal BFF.
The Classy Bride – Asin
Vera Wang & Sabhyasachi! There is no way that a girl could go wrong with those two designers. Asin looked a vision in white, when she walked the aisle on the most special day of her life in a striking white floor length Vera Wang gown. Looking her beauty best, Asin looked splendidly stunning in a Sabhyasachi Lehenga and antique jewellery for the Hindu wedding. For Asin’s look – go classic! Gold, Red and Antique are your cue words.
The Regal Bride – Dia Mirza
For her mehendi, Mirza posed wearing a deep marigold yellow in the form of a chanderi anarkali by Ritu Kumar. For her sangeet, Dia chose a gorgeous blue Anita Dongre lehenga with a full sleeved gold mirror work blouse. For the wedding Ritu Kumar designed a traditional joda made up of a kurta, farshi paijama and a dupatta. Keeping the sartorial tempo high, Mirza chose designers Shantanu & Nikhil's lehenga in raw silk for her reception. There can be no regal look without Hyderabad involved – which is where Dia got all her jewellery done from. We love the all no-red bride for the regal and royal look.
The Eccentric Bride – Masaba
Though not your traditional Bollywood bride –but all her bridal looks were to die for especially if you are crushing on eccentric looks for your wedding. Wearing a vibrant Sanjay Garg ensemble from Raw Mango, Masaba strutted at her sangeet looking every bit adorable! Her mehendi outfit was a Masaba creation in WHITE! We know that mehendi stains can be dampener but doing the unpredictable was Masaba. Her engagement outfit was the best of the lot – a stunning & elegant ebony and ivory outfit by Shivan and Narresh.
The Princess Bride – Nishka Lulla
When we think princess wedding – we think Nishka Lulla! That dream wedding in India and Thailand is the perfect setup for a princess bride moment. For her mehendi ceremony, Nishka opted for a bohemian-style yellow blouse and lehenga. Blue lehenga with a lot of bling was her choice for the sangeet ceremony. Needless to say, she looked nothing less than a diva. For the India wedding - The bride looked resplendent on her big day as she wore a pink lehenga teamed up with green choli and double dupatta. You can go all out like Nishka did with a bright pink and peacock blue ‘Radha Rani’ inspired lehenga. It had vintage pearl embroidery and large panels with Tanjore painting on the border. Her 30-feet long veil added a unique touch to her bridal look. To make her your Bollywood BFF- just steal some ideas from her and get set to leave everyone awestruck!
The Elegant Bride – Soha Ali Khan
The Pataudi princess was seen in a pink Ritu Kumar kurta at her homely Mehendi ceremony, while the wedding reception night saw her in a fuschia pink Sanjay Garg lehenga. Of course, with her Pataudi lineage the jewellery was antique and stunning. Since her wedding was an intimate do, she stuck to flaunting a simple off-white lehenga (Sabhyasachi again!) with an orange dupatta to set the mood. Her look will also work well for brides who are petite and fear that they may get lost under a huge lehenga. Take point from Soha, on how not to!
