Whimsical Corbett Wedding With A Bamboo Mandap & The Bride In A Gorgeous Green Lehenga

Okay, we can't lie, but there is an otherworldly beauty when brides wear a little offbeat hues for their wedding! Combine it with picturesque backdrops, stunning decor and a mandap made totally out of bamboo, and you've got yourself a wedding as pretty as this one! Pooja & Rahul tied the knot in the jungles of Corbett and it was nothing sort of spectacular. We, personally, can't stop obsessing over the fact that Pooja wore a breezy jumpsuit for her mehendi! So unique and so pretty. The Wedding Planning Company did a fantabulous job with the decor and planning while Aanchal Dhara Photography clicked some amazing candid shots!
Meet Pooja & Rahul
Pooja tells us their love story, "Rahul is from Maryland and I am from Delhi and we both came in contact through an online portal (just to note he was the one who sent me the request :P). In no time we were talking a lot, in fact even Face Timing. One instance that I recall specifically is when he sent me chocolates and flowers, just because I was working too hard (in my mind I was like is this for real, this guy is way too sweet only now I realize it was a planned move :p). Fast forward, I came for a work trip to the U.S for 4 weeks and we made sure that we met every weekend, roamed about in the streets of New York, met family/friends, attended a wedding reception, chilled at a lounge, shopped, saw a movie, ate too much food basically everything. The way I realized it was that I enjoyed myself when I was with him, no matter what the setting was. I was just happy and he made some real efforts to make sure I was (except for one time when he got too drunk to realize what was even happening, and this was only because this guy was trying to boast about his drinking capacity haha). He then came to see my parents in Europe and we got to spend some more time exploring new cities. I remember we were just casually walking around the streets of Prague, when I told him that I do want to spend my life with him and that’s about it. He came down to Delhi after a month, popped the question formally, and I said YES!!!!"

The Wedding
From The Bride:
We both wanted a small intimate wedding filled with lots of laughter, fun and love and luckily ours was just like we had imagined it to be. 3 days of pure joy with our family and closest friends (we had only 120 guests). What added to this was the beautiful resort in Ramnagar where all our functions were hosted. We decided on different themes for each function: Mehendi we played with pastel colors and the lawn where we held it on a sunny afternoon was decorated with beautiful origami birds and flowers. Cocktail we decided to go with a bow tie event feel and hence boys were asked to wear suits and girls were asked to wear gowns. Wedding we decided to go with a rustic theme and all decorations included lots of wooden art, twigs, greens and pink/white flowers. We did our pheras during the sunset and spent the rest of the evening dancing, singing and drinking. There were a lot of emotions as a lot of our family and friends gave speeches which truly was the most special part of our wedding
Vendor Reviews:
Aahana is truly a beautiful resort as it is surrounded with a lot of greenery. Each cottage at Aahana is unique and has its own charm. The food they have to offer is not only organic (yes they use their own farm produce) but is also flavorful and so yummy. It looks outstanding at night as they have lighted paths and also a lot of fairy lights in their grounds. The staff is so helpful and they were always there to cater to all our requests. Saurabh (Manager at Aahana) and his staff made our event a success by delivering everything that was promised.
Preksha Gupta - My complexion is dusky and hence I was looking for someone who would not change that but make me look like the best version of myself on my wedding day. Preksha truly delivered , she gave me such different looks for all three functions. Not only that she was super sweet to work with and kept complimenting my skin. She didnt bother me or my family at all and was very adjusting. Everybody loved all my make up looks
Aanchal Dhara (Photography) - She is amazing. When I started looking for photographers I spoke to not less than 20. The moment I spoke to her I knew she is the one. She made me so comfortable in our first conversation. Her work is outstanding. She would not bother you at all at the functions and would let you be. At the same time she is able to capture such beautiful moments and its a pleasure to look at her pictures later. Each picture given to us by her special. She is super fun to work with and stays with you like a family member at the wedding
TWPC Kamakshi - I have no words to describe her work. We had a problem with the decorator last moment and looped in Kamakshi last moment (literally 10 days before the wedding). She was truly a blessing in disguise. All it took was 2 meetings with her for couple of hours and none of us (not even a single family member) had to look at the arrangements at the venue. She executed everything just the way we had decided. Everything was so beautiful and fresh at all our wedding functions. I loved my wedding decor, it was just so pretty. She takes your wedding to another notch. Anybody who wants a fairy tale wedding, just go with her as the decorator and you will not be disappointed
My wedding outfit was from Megha and Jigar (Hauz Khaz Village) - Jigar truly gave me my dream outfit for my wedding. He is super sweet and will go an extra mile to make sure that you are happy on your big day, He customized the tassels and dupatta for my wedding. Not only that he made matching outfit for three of my nieces who accompanied me in my walk. He has a beautiful collection of lehengas.
