So after all the hullabaloo on taking the right kind of pictures and choosing a great photographer, comes the most difficult part. Working on the wedding album so your shared memories are set up in the sweetest of ways so you can reminisce and look back. But apart from the fact that we have big bulky old-fashioned covers and a pen drive or just dropbox - there isn't much happening in terms of  wedding albums and we decided to dig deeper. Boy, we found some small but cool ideas that can really make every bride and groom happy. Because, it's the smallest details that are really making things count in the end.

Illustrated Wedding Cover by Po Tweet

Illustrated Covers: Seems like the smart bit on albums is the fact that they are coming out with innovative covers and interesting artwork on the covers. From  Illustrated Wedding covers with caricatures of bride and groom to pure silk covers to handcrafted artisan heirloom work with beads and embroideries - these album covers are like a piece of art, some of which we found at White Deer.

Customised covers: You can even get an artist you like to work on them or add it to the same theme as your wedding - all graphics can also be done by a good digital agency. Covers go anywhere from Rs 15,000 to a lakh for starters depending on the kind of design and work.

Design PDFs: Photographs are printed on well-designed digital PDFs and each page will have personalised details about the bride and the groom.

Digital Frames: Instead of just a pen drive or dropbox, we can also really work on the pictures and set up a digital album with the help of digital frames.

Print on Glass: Photos can now be printed on glass, so why not have your first page of your album as a glass page with a black and white photo etched on top

Full HD Albums: Better clarity, better design and better paper. These days, albums come with great binding and good quality paper that is both durable and long-lasting. On an average, Rs 25 -27,000 is the starting range for 30 spreads and that means, 60 pages if they are printed in India. There are some which are printed abroad but that is something only a photographer can get done - different paper and graphics included. It also depends on a lot of variables - the design, number of prints and the paper! Look at Photo Orange for more details.

Silver binding and printing: It's the most popular right now, of course, it's higher quality and it's called the silver halide printing process. That means, higher quality print and durability.

Leather cover and Coffee Table Book by David Blair

Leather Covers : Clean, soft and durable- leather covers are the ultimate in luxe albums.

Coffee Table Books: Innovative and interestingly designed, coffee table books have always been an ideal choice but this time, they come with flat printing and premium finish.

App for sharing: Online vendors like Canvera have brought out interesting apps that will help you showcase your wedding albums online to near and dear ones. It's easy, comfortable and fun. No paper!
