Question: Anonymous asks "So I just got engaged and Im wondering when Im supposed to start calling my fiance's parents Mum and Dad? I mean, do I wait till the wedding day or does it just immediately happen after the engagement?" Answer: Ooh. That's a tough one. So we polled all the married people at WMG to ask them and this is what they said. So 25% of the people here said - Do it after you get married- that is when they become your mum and dad right ? The rest said it kind of makes sense to do it after your engagement because it would be wierd to call them aunty and uncle on the day of the wedding right? Plus its better you warm up to it slowly so it doesn't seem awkward on the wedding day then! I guess the answer really depends on the comfort level you have with his parents, how often you meet them after the engagement etc etc. While it seems odd to "SUDDENLY" start calling his parents mom and dad, you have to start sometime. So unless your engagement is a year before the wedding , we think its ok to start doing it after your engagement. Besides have seperate names for them - if you could call your mom- mommy, then you can call his mom Mumma or something so you don't feel that wierd about it. Surprisingly, the boys at the WMG office (yes we do have some) were actually not too fussed about  calling them Mom and Dad sooner-  not thinking that it was that wierd to do it after your Roka while the girls were more hesitant.

So what do you guys/ girls think? Whats the right time?
