So generally you see couples picking and choosing to have the basic functions apart from the wedding off course- the Roka, the Engagement, the Mehendi, the Haldi, the Sangeet or Cocktail Night and the Reception. But slowly, we are seeing more and more couples opt for a few fun functions in between- especially during destination weddings. They serve as great opportunities for everyone to get to know each other or just let their hair down and have a good time- so here are the ones we noticed are gaining more and more popularity!

A Holi Party!

A holi party which might or might not be the mehendi or haldi- this is a new trend that serves as the perfect backdrop for some amazing photos!

A Carnival

Now how much fun does that look like? A carnival for everyone to become kids and have a good time!

A Picnic Brunch

A picnic brunch is a fresh new idea we have been noticing off late, and to be honest, is one of our faves!

A Welcome Brunch

A welcome brunch so that the guests feel welcome or just for the close families to get to know each other before the wedding madness starts!

Or A Welcome Dinner

An intimate welcome dinner is also a very special idea- just the close families having a good time and getting to know one another personally.

A Beach Sundowner

Another cool idea especially if it's a beach destination wedding you're having!

A Rain Dance Party

Rain dances are always fun, and when combined with the wedding madness, become quite crazy!

Or A Pool Party!

Who can say no to a pool party? We are seeing more and more of these, and yes, they do make for some crazy photos!

A Sports Day

Whether it's a girls vs boy's side cricket match you want to have or just a few games or activities, a sports day as a part of the wedding can also be a lot of fun!

The Double-Duty Haldi

The Afternoon Haldi Party - that's both boho, fun and effortless. We love how this couple made a rather sombre Haldi into a fun soiree!
