Lately, we're seeing so many two states weddings that we are so overwhelmed. Each one is so special and each one has some stunning ideas. And this wedding in beautiful Khimsar will be one to be remembered because of the venue and the decor and of course, the stunning desert views! And a Tamil Iyer ceremony amidst the lake and the desert is so unique and so inspiring. The venue, ITC WelcomHotels Khimsar provided all the beauty while photography by The Wedding Salad showcased the beauty of the wedding with the venue beautifully.

"We met 6 years ago at work and for the first 9 months, we didn't talk 'cos we hated each other. Little did we know that we'd come this far and get married in the most beautiful location ever!" says

From The Bride:
We had a select set of guests, the people closest to us from all parts of the world and we knew we wanted the right balance of mad fun with traditional ceremonies. Karthik's Tamil and I come from Lucknow so we picked the best from both worlds.
Some amazing things we had:
- We had a fun carnival as a welcome lunch to break the ice and this turned out to insane fun with all my mausis and mamas playing beer pong.
- A Moroccan themed sangeet in the sand dunes did full justice to the amazingly beautiful backdrop of the Thar desert
- The Mehendi theme was a mint green and pink, Rajasthani-inspired one with Thandai Spheres and Pan Caviars being the perfect coolers in the Jodhpur heat.
- The one event closest to my heart remains the sit-down dinner which was so perfectly executed by the Shaadi Squad.
- The wedding was a traditional Tamil Kalyanam in the middle of the desert followed by a Sadhya lunch. We kept this as traditional with a minimalist mandap of hanging bells and orchids.
Unique details, you ask? We tried adding a bit of us to all our events. For instance, the placemats on the sit-down table had a little thank you note handwritten from Karthik to my side of the family and from me to his folks. Since ours was a North Indian-South Indian wedding, we inked the Tamil wedding proceedings in English on a scroll in the shape of a banana leaf. The shot glasses we used had a little A&K logo and so did the bar.
My favorite wedding memory/ moment is the moment that we had Kanyadan when I was sitting on my dad's lap, the toasts from the sit-down, the brothers lifting me up for the Jaimala, all my favorite people being together for our happiness - everything is so perfectly etched in my memories. And for everything that's not, I have the pictures from The Wedding Salad!
