It started with the cocktail ring, then came the 'Haath Phool' and now, I spy with my little eye something rather different adorning a brides hands. On closer inspection- enter bridal gloves! Yep, what with so many brides going the Indo-western route at their receptions with cocktail sarees, more western style lehengas and the like, traditional kadas tend to look a bit off.

Brides in Shantanu Nikhil wearing Gloves

So, Who Started This Trend? Well, we don't quite know, but we are crediting this to Shantanu & Nikhil. We have seen custom made gloves at their store to match all their gorgeous outfits. What Are These Gloves Like? Don't worry, these aren't woollen or leather ones. They are made out of lace, with sequin embroidery and detailing on it. You can get them made from your local tailor pretty easily. They are also great if your family believes that your mehendi needs to stay covered until your wedding day.

Would you wear these?
