WMG had featured a Bangalore wedding which had no flowers a while ago, which we thought was a super cool and eco-friendly idea! But looks like that has become quite a trend now. Botanicals - just ferns without flowers are becoming such a big idea - and they take less effort, are cost-effective and are so chic! So, what is this trend? The trend is to have your wedding decor without any florals and only with greens or botanicals, which not only make the decor stand out, but is environment-friendly as well! So, what all can be used as an alternative to flowers? As an alternative to flowers, ferns, herbs, succulents and even fruits can be used for the decor, which looks so different from the usual wedding decor!

How can the botanicals be used in the decor?

An interesting idea could be to give away labelled herbs as wedding favours!

Can be used as chair decor or as plain backdrop decor or table numbers.

There can be decor using the foliage or the greens and cute little herb plants or succulents for a statement display or centerpieces. They can be placed in burlap sacks or ceramic or metal pots. You can even add twigs or herbs to menus or chair tie backs to make them pop!

We even had a bride who used ferns as her chaddar - so chic na?

Another idea is to have a completely green stage backdrop made of leaves or foliage!
