Traditional Jaipur Wedding With A Heartwarming Story
|
|
This couple decided to have an intimate wedding with truckloads of traditional essence, and that's what made it stand out from the rest. Their delightful love story kept us hooked, and we made notes of the minimal decor ideas from each ceremony. Seeing Riju walk down the aisle wearing her dream designer outfit left us awestruck! Also, kudos to her for personally paying attention to the elements like the decor, invites, favors, and menu. We bet it wouldn't have been easy!
Red Veds did a magical job in capturing every moment to perfection. A glance at the picture and you'll feel as if you were a part of the celebrations.
Meet Riju & Akshay
"We met 8 years ago through a mutual friend in Delhi. He was the calmest and the most kind-hearted person I had ever met and it still stands true. We instantly connected! The one thing that drew me to him was that I could be me around him. Luckily, we've never been in a long-distance relationship which gave us enough time to understand each other. He has taught me to love selflessly and wholeheartedly. One thing that hasn't changed in the last 8 years is mutual respect. Akshay never ever insults or yells at me! No matter how intense our fights or arguments get, it never turns into an ugly war of words. I'm more expressive and emotional and he's the calm one; so it balances the equation. When you're in a long-term committed relationship, you need to be able to navigate through every situation with extreme patience. And it helps if at least one of you is able to keep a cool head!" - shares, Riju

The Wedding
From The Bride
I always wanted a grand, regal wedding where we could celebrate with our close friends and family. I wanted to make sure that Akshay and I are able to enjoy our wedding and spend time with the guests. It was a bit challenging to convince the parents on both sides to cut short their guest lists. But then we came up with a solution, which was to have a separate function to accommodate local guests and extended family. I can't thank my parents enough for accomodating our request and for all the effort they made to have one extra wedding function on the top of so many other things so that we could have an intimate wedding.
I am a bit of a stickler for perfection, so from wedding invitation to decor, return gifts, favors, menu, and everything else, I was personally involved in everything. I wanted everything to be customized in a way that it feels heartfelt and has a personal touch. Even the notes with the return gifts were hand-written by us instead of a copied template. My sister helped a lot on that front. It was quite a task to pull off things with such minute details, but the effort was worth it.
Vendor Reviews
Bridal Jewellery: Wedding & Mehendi - Seema Kumar Jewellery - She is my personal favorite when it comes to Jewellery. Her ideas are very versatile and she was very understanding of my vision. She designs every single piece intricately to match with one’s personality, which is something rare to find. She is someone who you can trust even at the 11th hour. Because my outfits weren’t decided till the last moment, I cannot thank her enough for accommodating all my last minute requests. My wedding set was the star in my wedding outfit. Even during my trials at the Sabyasachi store, everyone admired the versatility of my necklace and the same happened on the wedding day as well.
Venue: ITC Rajputana, Jaipur - It's a heritage hotel that offers an unmatchable experience of Rajasthan's rich culture, traditions, and royalty. As all our guests were either from outside Rajasthan or India, so quite naturally, ITC Rajputana was the perfect choice for us. The hotel staff's hospitality and arrangements were top notch. Throughout our stay in the hotel, I never had to follow up on any requests or pre-decided commitments, each of which they fulfilled with extreme precision and care. We were pleasantly surprised and equally glad to see to the level of coordination between their sales team, the banquet staff, and the chef. ITC Rajputana played a huge role in making my wedding a memorable experience.
Makeup Artist: Shriya Pardal is hands down the best makeup artist in Jaipur. I wanted minimal makeup for all my events and she did exactly what I asked for. I couldn’t have made a better choice for my bridal makeup.
Photography: Red Veds Photography - Mohit and his team did an amazing job with the photos. Their personable approach made it so easy for us to work together. He'd already done his research on the hotel property and knew all the spots where he planned to shoot our pictures which saved a lot of time and hassle. Everyone loved their pictures. Glad we chose them for the most important shoot of our lives. "
