This Vegan Wedding in Mumbai Went All Out To Save The Environment!

When the bride and groom get vegan ice cream transported all the way from Delhi, that too on a train because you know - it reduces carbon footprint, you know they aren't joking about supporting a cause. Shasvathi & Karthik's wedding may not fit into the usual WMG Wedding fare, but we wanted to share it with you anyway simply because it's rare to find people who go beyond just social media support to really further something they believe in. 1. The Henna used for the Mehendi ceremony was organic and herbal.
2. All the flowers and decor used in the wedding were made out of cloth.
3. Organic Toiletries were given as favors
4. Instead of paper napkins, 2000 newspapers were cut up to use as paper napkins
5. The bride's makeup was not tested on animals. It was directly tested on her ;)
6. This was an animal/pet-friendly wedding and anyone could bring their pets to the wedding.
7. Vegan Ice cream was brought from Delhi, in a special refrigerator, on a train. Because flights would leave carbon footprints!
8. All the spoons used were also edible.
9. The dry coconut carvings had messages for the world rather than the usual deity carvings.
