This Interfaith South Indian Couple Had A 'North-Indian Themed' Wedding In Goa!

Now this couple might have just found the best way to decide what kind of ceremony to have when dealing with an interfaith wedding. Mekha and Shebin are South Indians who chose to have a 'North Indian themed' Hindu-Muslim wedding in Goa, and we think when you want to be neutral, it's a fab idea! Their sunkissed wedding in Goa was full of happiness and love, and the entire vibe was not pastel, but had a pleasing aesthetic with golds, whites and greens! The bride and the groom chose to twin in gold- and if intimate yet pretty is what you love too, then you have to check this wedding out!
Meet Mekha and Shebin
Our story began with a stroke of luck – a delightful encounter through a mutual friend. Shebin was a friend of my best friend's boyfriend, and little did we know it would lead to a beautiful journey.
After 2.5 years of dating, we decided to get married. Our Interfaith marriage, bridging Muslim and Hindu backgrounds, had its challenges, but overcoming them together has made our journey even more special. We cherish where we are today, happy and united.
In August, we officially registered our marriage—a significant step in our journey. But we desired more than just paperwork; we wanted a celebration with our closest friends and family. Deciding on a unique destination, we, a South Indian couple from Kerala with different faiths, chose the beach in Goa for our North Indian-themed wedding.
Wedding
From The Bride:
Our wedding happened on a Goan beach at sunset, surrounded by our closest friends & family. With my brother as the minister and the support of friends and family, our day was filled with love.
The Longuinhos Resort in Goa served as the perfect venue for our North Indian-themed wedding. My bridesmaids added charm to the celebration in their pastel attire, holding delicate oriental lilies instead of traditional bouquets.

Our wedding at Longuinhos Beach Resort was a total blast! Huge shoutout to Francis and Samrat for being our rockstars and making everything run so smoothly. Gail, you're a genius for suggesting this place and for patiently clearing our doubts. Ajeet, thanks a ton for sorting out the restaurant stuff. The food, especially the Cheese AM rolls and Beef Assado, was simply out of this world. Our wedding day was pure magic, all thanks to this fantastic venue and its awesome crew. We're beyond thankful for the memories we made!
