This Couple Did Not Buy Or Try Any Of Their Outfits Before Their Big Day!

Yep, we aren't kidding- the bride confirms it!

Here is a couple who had full faith in carrying off whatever their fam picked for them, and they were right! Prapti's mom did the shopping for them as they were abroad, and every outfit fit like a glove! Prapti looked like a vision on both her wedding functions- pretty in a dainty white lehenga for the haldi and a red saree for the wedding, which is a classic choice! Prapti and Bréond had their wholesome, intimate wedding in the hills in her hometown in Uttarakhand, and we are in awe of how this wedding was all about love, and less about the fluff associated with weddings- but beautiful nevertheless. We met on Bumble in Boston and hit it off instantly, we spent our first date walking and exploring the whole city on foot and it lasted or 8 hours. That's how we knew :)

From The Bride:

Our wedding took place on June 15, 2023. I wanted a simple yet traditional wedding with more focus on the happy! It happened in my home state where I was born and in the heart of the hills just a few miles away from my farmhouse in Uttrakhand. A dream come true.

Fun fact: I had not tried nor shopped for any of my outfits, they were all brought by my mom and sister since I was in Boston and couldn't make it till the last minute. I trusted them blindly and loved everything they got for me. I just knew I wanted to wear a saree that was locally made and was tied to our traditions and history. I wanted to make sure to have the authentic feeling in everything. My saree was a traditional artisan made kanjivaram silk saree, my haldi outfit was from a college friend who just started her clothing line. My husband's outfits were all purchased by my mom and me and he also never tried them till the wedding day. We just wanted to be around family, friends and celebrate our love. It was truly the happiest day, we embraced the chaos and enjoyed every moment. It was a small wedding with 50 people and it couldn't have been better. No formalities, no show, no drama. Just pure joy and smiles.

I had my wedding at The Pear Orchard and they made sure every bit of our experience was beautiful. The view from the mountains is extraordinary and it felt like a fairytale. Each and every staff member was extremely helpful, polite and respectful. Right from the start, they were very accommodating of our requests and went out of their way to make everyone comfortable. The food, the stay, the location, the humility- everything is top notch. It was truly a dream come true for us. All the family and friends who visited absolutely loved the property and felt just at home. Special mentions for Ramesh Mehta ji and Pandey ji who worked very hard to give us the wedding of our dreams and took care of all the elements that go into it. And some additional mentions to Mohit, Harsh, Hem, Ariz, Manoj, Afsaan for constantly taking care of the guests and being so patient and polite. I genuinely couldn’t have imagined a better wedding. Thanks to everyone at Pear Orchard, we cannot wait to visit again! :)

Makeup Artist: Neha Jain

Neha did a wonderful job as I was very clear I didn't want any heavy makeup and wanted to look like myself through out and she nailed it with her minimal makeup skills, I genuinely felt pampered by Neha and Javed(the hair artist) when I used to get ready before the ceremonies. Neha also does great skin care regime before the makeup session and they're super helpful for the skin. All my looks turned out perfect, everyone loved them and I felt very much myself and they were easy to carry.

The team of two absolutely amazing, hard working, lovely girls who made our dream come true. I knew from my first call that Sakshi is going to be the one capturing our moments. They were there and we couldn't see them since they did it all so effortlessly. The pictures are everything we ever wanted, every little detail and moment captured perfectly by them. They were like family, my whole family loved them all.

Bridal Outfits:

Haldi outfit: That gal (A venture started by my college friend, Ayushi Verma) and my white lehenga was her first order. I ordered it from Boston and they delivered in India with all the measurements perfect. Fitting and flow was so good, it was one of my favourite looks.

Groomwear: Fab India and Manyawar

The fits were perfect and my husband was very comfortable throughout, that's all he wanted. It was his first time wearing Indian outfits and that too traditional ones, they fit him so well and he got soo many compliments.
