One of the biggest trends for 2017 is definitely personalising your bridal outfit. Remember Samantha Prabhu's pretty 'Love Story' sari and Kresha Bajaj's exquisite lehenga ? Well, this bride was inspired so did something of her own .

Meet Aakanksha, a bride who really took her wedding lehenga up a notch by adding personal details - the name of her and the grooms along with a full baraat procession. We got you all the deets.

From The Bride:

"I wanted my wedding lehenga to be really different and unique, so I got my husband's and my name (Aakanksha and Siddharth) written on it with a beautiful baarat procession design on the lower side. And we co-ordinated our outfits in royal blue and baby pink for the wedding, it was so great," says Aakanksha.

Both of us, always wanted a big fat indian wedding, and wanted everything to be very royal, hence the 'Maharaja-Maharani' look! I knew that my reception lehenga was going to be something that I would wear only once, so I wanted it to be very unique. Of course, it had to be something that is very special and memorable to me. Something that is evergreen and has a personal touch. Also, I was pretty sure I did not want a red lehenga for my reception since I was going to wear one for my pheras, hence the unique colour combo- royal blue and baby pink. We used velvet, the fabric since it gives a very rich effect. We got both of our outfits made from a designer in Surat, Kajal Chaliawala, under the label Kajal's Couture. " adds Aakanksha.
