Each state in India has their version. The South versions are plenty where Karnataka wedding lunches serve their Obattu with ghee and the wedding Sadhyas in Trivandrum are incomplete without their favorite boli and payasam.

A Kerala trademark small bits of jelly like ada is cooked with milk and sugar to achieve a creamy consistency and is a must-have on the menu. Add it. Can be served hot, cold, or even as a popsicle.

Chakka Pradhaman

Eat seasonal and summer is the season of jackfruits. This delicious dessert is something that should be tasted. Your guests will thank you for the rest of their lives.

How do we do summer weddings without mangoes? Try a mambhaza pulishery, a sweet and sour gravy from God’s own country. A delicacy and a beautiful addition to your wedding menu.

Mor Kozhambhu

This buttermilk infused gravy that every state has a version of. The South or more precisely the Tamil version has okras or even vadas dunked into this flavorful gravy.

Usili

If you have added the mor kozhambhu to your menu, then a usili or a dry dish made of vegetables and crumbled lentils is the perfect combo for it. So add this too! PS. It is a must in Tamil weddings.

Puliohara

Zipping to the states of Andhra and Telangana they serve a variety of dishes that are traditional and one we love is the puliohara. They make different versions of it and each of it is as yummy and light as the other.
