These Are Luxury Wedding Services That The 1% Can Afford!

When it comes to Indian weddings, no one can beat us in terms of extravagance and fare. But the real luxurious weddings, the ones where you have the best of the best without a worry of the budgets or guestlist are the real deal of extravagance. And what happens at these luxurious weddings? What are the wedding services they indulge in? We did some digging and decided to give you a sneak peek behind the curtains of the most uber-rich wedding services that only the ultra-rich can afford to splurge on!
Multiple Venues At Multiple Locations!
The ultra-rich don’t stop at destination weddings now, it’s the time of multiple-location venues. It’s a trend to kickstart with a wedding ceremony in one location before transporting the whole party abroad by private jet to continue wining, dining and partying for days for the sangeet or reception. Akash Ambani and Shloka had their pre-wedding events in Switzerland followed by the wedding in Mumbai.
Chefs Table At Weddings

You may have seen at high-end restaurants where the head chef has a special menu planned for limited seating called the Chef’s table where diners can interact with the chef. The ultra-rich are now doing it for weddings! Michelin-star chefs are flown into the wedding venue and elaborate chefs’ tables are organised for the guests to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the wedding!
Hyper-Regional Cuisines Spreads
While we are wondering whether to eat pani puri first or attack the dessert station, the uber-rich are looking at hyper-regional cuisine spreads at their weddings. Specialised teams are called to design menus that not only cater to the guests’ dietary restrictions but also design highly specialised menus of that particular cuisine. Think of a Peruvian feast or a Kashmiri daawat by a Kashmiri chef – everything planned to the tee!
Booking In Top Entertainment
When you have a wedding at this scale, guests are not going to be entertained by your regular DJs and artists. These weddings book top artists around the world, months in advance. Beyoncé performed at Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations, with an entire crew of backup dancers, musicians and full stage production, including lights and effects. Basically an exclusive mini concert just for the wedding guests!
Epic After Parties And Outfits

The buck doesn’t stop at amazing events, it extends to epic after-parties too! Hosts are arranging casual and party-till-the-sunrise parties post the wedding celebrations. These parties usually happen in a different location – maybe a private yacht or even a cruise!
Along with that, there are multiple outfit changes between the bride and groom. Priyanka Chopra wore no less than eight wedding dresses, including a custom-made Ralph Lauren dress with a 70-foot veil! Kim Kardashian walked in a $500,000 custom couture Givenchy gown down the aisle.
Iconic venues

These hosts don’t settle for fancy hotels or lavish properties, it has to go one step ahead. They get married in iconic properties. The uber-rich book the villa where House of Gucci was shot, a castle in Scotland or even the Palace of Versailles. Couples have gotten engaged at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Properties beyond your dreams!
Or They Make Them!
Don’t want to fly all the way to Versailles, make them happen in your own place! Luxury is creating an event that as people walk in, tells a story, an entertaining story. Preston Bailey, one of the biggest names in luxury wedding design once recreated an entire enchanted forest from the Lord Of The Rings for his clients!
Couture Outfits
It’s not just brands or designer labels for these brides, it's exquisite, never-to-be-seen-again couture pieces! The work, the beading everything is custom-made according to the bride. Couture brides are in another league of their own. Valentino created a lehenga for the very first time in their history for Isha Ambani, which now happens to be on display at the NMACC.
Flying Your Guests In Privately
You don’t have to worry about your guests coming or not till the final day because these weddings usually have private planes to bring in your guests. While the royals and the politicians (say the President of a country!) will travel with their own security entourage, the rest will fly in private with the hosts, where the actual party starts!
We believe every wedding is beautiful – whether its an intimate home wedding with 10 guests or at the Palace of Versailles with 1000 guests! Hope we've satiated your curiosity though!
