The Ivory & Gold Bride: WMG Red Carpet!

If there's a colour combination that will be stylish on any bride and will stay timeless no matter what, what would you choose? For us at WMG, it will always be white and gold. Classic, timeless and trendy every single year. Over the years though, the idea of gold went from lots of embroideries and zardosi to simple borders and insane design elements.

Now, in 2017, it's all about wearing the most boldest of jewellery pieces and creating a combination of your own. That's why our latest Red Carpet collaboration is with Tanishq where we gave 3 brides-to-be a chance to wear the trendiest of jewellery in their own individual style. And this time, we have Akriti, the demure bride in a pastel floral design in white, a glam Sabyasachi lehenga from Aza worn with stunning gold jhumkas, a beautiful necklace and a traditional long pendant neck-piece in antique finish. The finish matches the gold embroidery in the lehenga while the self-print blouse is complimented by the intricate handwork of the choker and the pendant, giving it a royal yet ethereal look.

Special thanks to Triptii Rastogi for the makeup which is subtle and complimented the jewellery and the lehenga beautifully. Photographs by Cupcake Productions captured the beauty of the bride-to-be so brilliantly, we are in raptures!

From The Bride:

"It was so lovely to shoot with the Wed me good team. The outfits were amazing, everyone was so friendly and pampered me like the perfect bride-to-be. The makeup artist, Triptii, was so attentive to what I had to say and made sure I was completely satisfied with my look. The jewellery at Tanishq is so beautiful and there’s huge variety, from gold to antique, from temple finish to kundan and more – you can be sure to find jewellery for your look for every occasion of your wedding. The shoot was like a rehearsal for my big day in November, and I absolutely loved it!" says Akriti.
