Where do we start about this cutesy wedding in Goa? Well, for starters, there was a beach Engagement, a pool party, a dance party and a larger-than-life wedding with a mandap to die for! The smallest of details at this wedding made us smile - the nice guest hampers, the personalised invites and the sweet wedding favours like shawls and slippers. The decor was done with no flowers by The Wedding Soul★ 4.9  and photography by The Photo Diary by Monisha★ 5  was amazing! The bride's outfits are worth a mention - right from the cool Engagement outfit (worn with, Sophie Webster heels) to the Shivan Narresh lehenga at the Mehendi, they were amazing!

Meet Astha & Abhishek

"Coming from traditional family of small town Kota, I was asked to meet guys and I said no randomly to many because I felt I wasn’t ready. I was enjoying my work way too much at the time. In 2014 I was given strict instructions to meet this guy..I was way too busy in some shoot that time so I ignored it. Suddenly one morning I saw a message from a guy on my FB, ‘ Hi, isn't it a better platform to meet?' And after few calls back home I realised it was Abhishek, the one I am suppose to meet. And we started talking. We liked each other but we weren't really convinced. I left for UK for a vacation for a month we hardly talked but I think that was the time when both us realised we need each other in our lives. He proposed after I came back and I said yes" says Astha.

The Wedding

From The Bride:

"I wanted my wedding to be fun - we didn't want to stand on stage and just get congratulated. We first convinced our family - they agreed to a small but fun wedding. The destination was a bit of a problem - from Udaipur to Ahmedabad and Pondicherry we searched everywhere. In the end, we came across Marbella which is a beautiful property and along with La Cabanna where all our guests can happily stay in Goa," says Astha.

"Our invites were good fun. The save the date invite was in a bottle format as it was a Beach wedding while the formal invite had 3D Boat with the logo and the invitation messaged designed and executed by The Wedding Soul.Abhishek is really taller then me so we came with our logo from that which used on our card stick figures dancing in love. Our customised bags (Designed by TWS) were amazing too. The Welcome Hamper bag had "Two Less Fish in the Sea" writtenThe Emergency kit had written " Oops Ouch for Life' little emergencies" and it contained Hajmola, Eno Soda, Crocin, Swaad Goli, BandAid and Tissues.

The overall theme of the wedding was Vintage and Contemporary. The real challenge in the decor was...it was completely No Real Flowers wedding. The Mehendi Cum Pool Party was called Floral Funky with Pinwheels, Origami, colourful elements etc. The Sangeet or Dance Party had Foreign Fire Artists and IGT Winners Sakshi & Amit who performed Latin and Salsa to entertain the Guests. As favors, we had Shawls and Slippers for the Guests.

The Engagement over the Beach with Beach games was great too. The family danced and entered with Flash Mob before the Bride Entry. We had bubble bottles on the chairs for the guests to blow when the couple exchange rings. Post the Ring ceremony, there were beach games like spoon and lemon, gunny bag race, Tug of War. And we had a rain dance too" adds Astha.

"As for the wedding, I did not want the the Standard 4-pillar Mandap so the good people at The Wedding Soul designed the the Mandap in a format of Roman style overlooking the beach. The Grooms Baraat had a beautiful vintage car for his entry and punjabi dhol. After the wedding, all of our pals lit phooljhadis to welcome us. WMG isn't paying me to say good words but this site really helped me finding tons of vendors," explains Astha.
"As for our outfits, I wore a Shivan and Narresh neoprene lehenga in white and yellow with Manish Arora gazelle earrings at the pool party. Abhishek wore a Versace jacket combined with whites. For dance party, I wore my own label PINUP. It was powder blue lehenga with golden leather and pastel patch work …and little golden hearts on dupatta and blouse. My Engagement outfit was again designed by me and it had intricate embroidery of pretty doves on my gown made of soft pink organza, it had huge underskirt which was made out of more then around 50 metres of net. And I wore stunning Sophia Webster ‘wifey for lifey ‘ bridal heels…they are a piece of art. Abhishek's outfit was made by Gabbana studio, a three-piece suit with a logo I specially designed with our date initials as a souvenir. My wedding lehenga was again by Pinup, a  combination of red, white and pink with lot of zardosi handwork" adds Astha.
